In the male receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful .
The female in charge of dining room could
Not have been nicer !
We have stayed a few times at the hotel
And will
Continue to do so as long as the staff are as friendly as previously.
Due to stay overnight again this Sunday ans hopefully will have an enjoyable experience again

Staff have always been welcoming, ensuring our needs are met and are a credit to the hotel.

Key staff attention to detail lacking

I have stayed at this hotel a few times always for a corporate events and this stay was yet another. Room is as you would expect, clean, warm and comfortable. However, purely down to poor attention to detail from the front desk staff they can at a stroke ruin enjoyment and cause some embarrassment. The front desk are well aware from your booking and you attendance of an event. Therefore not to take a swipe of your card to pre authorise for extras at check in is ultimately bound to lead to dissapintment, frustration and embarrassment and so this was the case with me. Mid event you decide to buy a client or fellow guest a drink. You make an order at the bar (which is an ordeal in itself unless all you simply need a few beers, anything as simple as a whisky sour is way beyond them sadly) you soon find out that your room key card is useless unless it has been pre authorised at checkin. So embarrassingly the drinks are held until you have to make the considerable walk of shame back to reception to get credit card pre authorisation. It's at this point you realise that being a so called Elite member means absolutely nothing. It is surely the responsibility of front desk staff at check in to ensure this type of situation does not happen. So in summary a combination of a poor checkin experience along with event bar staff's inability to take and make a drinks order does not make for a great experience. Surely a training need there.

At Last I slept!! Thank You

My wife and I stay here a lot for nights away in the city but this stay has to be the most comfortable yet.
On arrival we were upgraded to a suite and when we asked to book breakfast due to booking issues that I had that was given complimentary.
I have a chronic illness and I am very tired all the time so we chose to relax at the hotel we had a wonderful lunch and a great meal at night.
We tried the sleeping aids in the bedroom and WOW it was the first decent night sleep I have had in nearly 6 months!!!!!
All I can say is thank you so much to the Hotel and the staff for giving me such a great relaxing night and one I look forward to having again!
I am now trying to book for another night in March and hope and pray the service is as good!
(If someone would care to contact me to discuss those requirements that would be great!)
