Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 Well worth looking at if staying downtown I must say to start that the staff were always welcoming and very helpful with questions on the local area, bill payment issues (should add patient) and receiving of post. Hotel is on the whole a quiet one with very little noise from other rooms, corridors and events. Facilities are all good including the gym and pool for exercise and the bar, cafe and room service were also top notch for a Holiday Inn. Good time had even though I had to work everything was in easy walking distance at the weekend. 16. Dezember 2014
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 New look Holiday Inn I always considered Holiday Inn as commensurate with cheap adequate accomodation. I couldn't believe the change when I got to Chicago-Mart Plaza. It was luxury wall to wall. Common areas were spacious and clean. Roped off area at reception caused a little problem as you can't see which station is manned. But, so what - at least one was always manned. The room was sumptuous. Pillows soft and fluffy, firm bed. A/C controllable. On the down side there was no kettle but there was a coffee maker. The water tasted of coffee and I only drink tea. No spare bedding - found it a little chilly but turning up the heat made the room stuffy. An extra blanket would have been good. Bathroom was impeccable - loads of towels and plenty of soap etc. Plenty of power sockets throughout the room but only one spare at the desk / dresser. Low level lighting caused me problems as I am visually impaired - it needs a central strip light to light up the room. Breakfast posed a minor problem on the first day. I got it right the second day. I took the buffet and went around filling my plate. I found the scrambled eggs were only luke warm and this was accentuated by having the toast at the very end of the route. I had a plateful of food going cold waitinig for a very slow toaster. Next morning I put the toast on first. Most of the staff would bend over backwards to help - I found one who was not so supple but it didn't spoil a very pleasnat stay. 16. Dezember 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Relaxing Stay I have stayed with this location on multiple occassions. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are always clean, and there are plenty of ammenitites. I would recommend this location as a great place to stay when visiting Chciago. 15. Dezember 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Upgrade your room Not too bad overall. Desk staff and bellman were a little stiff. Others were pretty nice. Restaurant guy was real nice. Bar was fun with cool views. Upgrade to the city view rooms. They are worth the extra money. Parking is now better than last year with the opening of the adjacent garage. Still expensive, but better. 12. Dezember 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by GREAT HOTEL - WONDERFUL VIEW AND LOCATION Just stayed at this hotel for the weekend and enjoyed everything about it. New Room on the 18th floor, clean, slick looking and beautiful view of the river. Was able to check in early and shop, shop and shop! They gave us great restaurant recommendations and also let us check out late the last day there. I would definately stay here again. The Manager was very nice and introduced himself and even received a followup email from the Manager of Corporate Sales, Jenevieve Zolvinski. I was very impressed with everything and my husband and I enjoyed the nice get away. We will be back!!! 8. Dezember 2014
