Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location This hotel was across from the Port and the Bayside Market. The lobby was very appealing and the rooms were clean. We arrived at 9:30pm and tried to order Room Service. It took 4 tries of calling the extension and finally going through the front desk before anybody answered the phone. The food was good but not spectacular. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. February 2, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Done With This Property Ug. I am sorry to say I am done with giving this property "one more chance." I have stayed here many times for business over the past five or so years. The location is fantastic, but that is about it. There always seems to be an issue when I stayed here. This time there were three. Nearly my entire stay this time, only one of the three elevators worked. There was a queue for the sole elevator much of the time! With cruises goers embarking (with all their luggage) and the Miami Marathon runners coming and going, it took quite a bit of time to get to the car and to your floor. The hotel restaurant "bar" was closed. They did not have their liquor license for some reason. I don't know it they lost it or suspended it; but you could not get a drink at the bar. Thankfully the hotel is in a vibrant neighborhood where one could find a libation. Lastly, and worst of all, was the parking situation. This has long been an issue with the property but this time it was terrible. The first day I needed my car, it took quite a bit of time to retrieve my car from the garage. The second day it was unacceptable. It took nearly 45 minutes for my car to arrive from the time I called down. I called ahead, as instructed, to have the car retrieved. When I got to the valet stand, they were not informed by the front desk of my call. Then the attendant went and got someone else's car from the garage before mine, though I was there first. Then she went to get my car and was gone for 10-15 minutes (conservative estimate.) Only to find my car was in the parking lot directly behind the hotel! It was right there the entire time. What should have taken less than five minutes took 45. I nearly missed my flight due to the incompetency! January 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Location only This hotel is in need of renovation! The elevators worked sometimes, could not take the stairs all the way down to lobby so had to use them. Do not stay in room 719. It's a corner room (the only positive) but very small, the bathroom light fixtures were coming out of the wall, the grout in the floor was coming out leaving holes, the mattresses were lumpy. Apparently the restaurant here lost their liquor license so don't expect bar service. They do not have heat - which normally in Miami isn't a problem but it was 47 degrees when we stayed there and heat would have been nice. They did have some portable heaters you could use if you requested them. The only reason to stay here is the location and the staff. January 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, bad service I was set for an early check in due to my IHG status. When I arrived, the young lady advised me that they had NO rooms available and I will have to wait until 3:00pm; it was 11:30am. I explained my call and confirmation I received, but she did not care. I asked for a manager and he was able to place me immediately in a room. I understand managers have more authority, but my issue was she lied to me and was not very pleasant. The room was just okay, it wasn't very clean to me. Later that evening when we returned to the room, it was freezing and I could not work the thermostat. I called to the front desk and was advised someone from housekeeping will be up.....30 minutes past, nothing. We went down to grab a bite to eat....slow service and the restaurant was empty????? We went to the front desk to inquire again about the room temperature and was advised that the hotel is older and sometimes regulating the room temperature can be a challenge. The front desk clerk then gave us a heater???? It is now 2 hours since my call with no response; had we not gone to the front desk, we would have been cold the rest of the evening. The morning of the marathon, there was fruit, which was a nice gesture. I asked for coffee and there was none?????? When we returned from the race we stopped at the restaurant because it was cold to get some coffee and it was self serve, but we had to pay $2.50 per cup??!!! Very bad experience and there was a large group of us. I will not recommend this property for next year when we return. January 27, 2016
