Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by M6 J7 - Another Business Stay The staff at this hotel are excellent, Angelica, Chantelle and Jane always have a smile and time for a bit of chat with the regulars. The hotel itself is looking a bit tired especially the rooms and if possible ask for a room that doesn't overlook the front car park as the noise from the A34 is constant 24/7. The menu is very limited so if you have stayed there on business for a couple of weeks you will have sampled everything. The spa is quite good but if you go in during peak times it is usually so full there is a wait for machines. The sauna can get full to the point of intimacy so if you like your personal space, be warned. As a business user it fits the bill, bed shower, food and a TV. On another note, I am a Rewards club member so not affected but others have to pay for internet access. In this day and age I find this quite staggering as most other hotels provide access as part of the deal. 27 January 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Choose another hotel Very poor visit - hotel not updated at all since I stayed every week in 2004. Worst of all was the quality of the food - I waited over an hour for a burger I couldn't eat as it was overcooked on a cheap sesame bun with a dollop of coleslaw and cold chips. And even the wine order was wrong - ordering a dry house white and got a sweet white which was the dearest on the menu. Room quality very poor and needs a complete refurb. 26 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A warm welcome Greeted with a warm welcome. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna a great way to unwind. Friendly staff throughout the entire stay. Clean room although sofa bed was uncomfortable for the kids Kids asked for pancakes at breakfast and machine was broken (create your own pancakes) but chef made them specially. 22 January 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Slow service and food standards On recent stays I have found the room service food either incorrect or just warm at best. I stayed with 2 colleagues and we had to have a table at 7pm or the next tables were after 9pm.... Block bookings for the restaurant happen frequently and the guests who stay on a regular basis are not catered for this is unacceptable.. The food on this visit took nearly an hour to be brought to the table and the restaurant was hardly full at the time. On a morning the 'chefs' struggle to poach an egg.......... On the night the door slamming kept me awake till midnight. A very poor experience for what is supposed to be a good standard reputable brand hotel. The standards need to be raised since the new owners have taken on the franchise or I will be staying else where, I have used this hotel for over 10 years but not for much longer. 16 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Staff and very relaxing The Staff are excellent here and should be highly commended for being so. The food has improved greatly and during my 4 night stay my food was excellent. The hotel is relaxing and very clean and really is made a pleasure to stay at by the excellent staff. If I had to single out 1 person it would be Jane, who is always so bubbly and pleasant at breakfast at 6.30am and also the same at 3pm. She really is a total credit to the Hotel. I could not fault anything and would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. 13 January 2015
