you have updated the bathroom with top quality fittings, however as a person who has worked with these products it is difficult to use them without some instructions i would recommend that you arrange this, also the lighting in the bathroom is appalling for shaving try it.also the bathroom for an excecutive room is very very small.
we were on DBB the first night choosing from the menu was excellent,
the second night was buffet , the initial choices were very poor but halfway through the meal the menu was changed and upgraded , i have never experienced this before and i found it very difficult to understand why .it meant that i had to choose from the initial offerings
which i would not have chosen only to see a far better choice appear mid way through my meal

We booked a Cadburys World family package which included a family room, breakfast and entry into Cadburys World. When we arrived we were quickly checked in and asked if we would like to book a table in the restaurant for that evening. We looked at the menu and decided that we would book a table. After spending the day in the hotel using the leisure facilities which are lovely we felt nice and relaxed and decided to have a couple of drinks as we didn't have to leave the hotel as we were eating there that evening. As we were heading down to dinner in the evening a family passed us and said 'Good Luck Mate' not divulging anymore than that.. Before we were seated the lady in the restaurant advised us that they would not be serving meals from the menu and it would be buffet only. We had a look at the buffet food and it looked awful. Not happy with this I as we were not told that it would be buffet when we booked the table we were then told that this is not decided until the day. We were told to speak to the bar manager and we waited and we waited and in the end I went back to the reception desk and explained that we were still waiting to speak to the bar manager. My children are now really hungry by now and we seem no closer to sorting this out. The lady from reception come over to the bar with us and explains to the girls behind the bar what has happened and we are told that we would be able to order off of the bar menu which by the way happens to be exactly the same food as in the restaurant and eat it in the restaurant area. We all ordered our food. I chose one of the pasta dishes which had fresh green chilli in it and a side of garlic bread. We had a very long wait for our food. When the food arrived my pasta had no green chilli in it and the garlic bread looked liked it had been put in the microwave, not toasted and anaemic in colour. When asked by the waitress if the food was ok I told the waitress that the pasta should have chilli in it and the garlic bread was rubbish. She agreed to change the garlic bread but did not offer an explanation as to why my pasta did not have chilli in it which was the main reason I ordered it. When the deserts arrived my daughter Lacey was given a bowl of chocolate ice cream when she had ordered a cookie and ice cream off of the children's menu. When we questioned why with the waitress her reply was' I don't know why its on there we haven't had that desert in for ages'. NOT GOOD ENOUGH..... we asked for a chocolate brownie as an alternative which turned out to be burnt any way so all in all not a great meal experience and although we would go back to the hotel again as the leisure facilities and rooms were great, we would not eat there again.

I recently stayed here having booked 8 rooms for parents and children of a girls football team. I booked the rooms using Laterooms and received a very good price for the rooms. On my booking i asked for 5 twin rooms and 3 family rooms which i was assured would be provided. The importance of this was some of the girls were traveling with 1 parent and some with 2, fairly straight forward. I also informed them the party would be arriving seperately between the hours of 20:00 and 22:00 hrs so would require these rooms on arrival as the girls were under 10 and needed to go straight to sleep. I arrived at 21:30 to be told that the family rooms had not been set up and some of the parents had been waiting in reception for over an hour. The twin rooms were provided immediately, which was at least something.
To save myself from writing a whole essay on how unhelpful the staff were i will just say the final family room was eventually sorted at 23:00hrs, which was 3 hours after the 1st parents had arrived. Needless to say this was not acceptable and we had some very tired children on the Saturday morning.
Would i recommend this hotel? Absolutely NOT.
Did we receive an apology for the mix up? NO

Although there were two staff at reception, and one was busy, it took 5 minutes before I was booked in. No "I will be with you in a moment", just totally ignoring me.
the hotel itself is an example of what the cheaper Holiday Inns were like 10 years ago. Grubby carpets in the room corridors, small "executive" rooms, and so on.
The bar staff were attentive, as was reception when I checked out.
The bar area itself was amazingly noisy, firstly from children running around (it happens), but once they left the staff were getting the area ready for breakfast, and were noisier than the children, shouting around, scraping furniture etc.
Overall it had the feeling of somewhere that nobody cared about anymore.

Very disappointing for this brand, was like stepping back in time when it came to the rooms. Bathrooms look nice until you try to close the door, a re-layout is required here. My first room had to be changed as the carpet outside the bathroom was wet from something. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Restaurant unwelcoming, had to wait for an overcooked evening meal.
At breakfast there were many foods unavailable, tables not cleared. Food overpriced.
Would have preferred a PI.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN AND TIDY, STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. JUST NEEDS THE OUTSIDE UPDATING, AND THE LOBBY MORE INVITING. FOOD COULD BE IMPROVED . AND BIGGER BATHROOMS.
