Staff went out of their way to make sure I had a nice room and was immediately recognized as an IHG member.. i love the raffle on reception for extra points, drinks, etc.. A great idea!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cardiff new experience We were very pleasantly surprised at how welcome we were made on arrival by the receptionist. We arrived at noon and whilst our room was not ready all the necessary arrangements were made and our luggage taken for safekeeping. I was a little surprised that we were not invited to have some lunch in the restaurant whilst we waited however on the plus side there was therefore no pressure on us. Time for some lunch and a first look at the shopping centre. We were both amazed at the wide range of shops and the vast pedestrian area. Very relaxing not to worry about the traffic. Back to the hotel and we were in an executive room which had been refurbished. Excellent with a very comfortable chair with stool and pleasant decorations. What was disappointing was that the bathroom had not been refurbished though I have to add it was adequate and it was very clean with good towels. During our stay we did not eat at the hotel hence no comment on the restaurants. 20 January 2015
