Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tired and in need of upgrading Not the best place to stay for business. I stayed over two nights and there was a high number of coach parties - noisy and demanding of the staff. The room looked tired and the decor dated. The bathroom was down trodden, towels washed out and hot water not hot! The large windows do not afford privacy from the other windows of rooms - Net curtains would be a good addition - I was able to look directly into other rooms from my window and I realised I could see what occupants were doing. THe restaurant was understaffed, with not enough staff to deal with guests. Breakfast was slow as a result. Having said that, staff were helpful and friendly. Internet access was not high speed, as purported to be and the signal was patchy. 01 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good time had by all Cardiff holiday Inn was good, easy access to town all within walking distance. Bedroom was very comfortable had a good nights sleep. Was disappointed with the bathroom as it was a bit mouldy in places. Breakfast was very nice, good value for money- buffet breakfast with lots of choice. 25 June 2014

The breakfast was one of the best that i have had in an hotel One minor point - I found the approach by car to the hotel entrance - easily overshot - I missed first time and had to circle Cardiff at rush hour! 19 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our best stay in Cardiff to date An excellent hotel in a great situation for sightseeing. Reception staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. Our room on the top floor was well presented and quiet. This hotel has to be in the top league of Holiday Inns. Looking forward to our next visit. 19 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely location and excellent service The location is perfect. Right across the street from Cardiff Castle. Happy to have a goods night sleep in a comfy bed. Staff at the bar was very attentive and friendly and food was really nice as well. Good selection and quality. 18 June 2014
