Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Road directions to hotel We had great difficulty navigating to property, as we use a map, do not have SatNav. Called hotel reception for help as we struggled with road system, when in centre of town. Three staff unable to help, they kept saying use Sat Nav, despite us telling them we did not have one. Duty manager did call us once we arrived in our room, and was very kind and sympathetic for our grumpy arrival state. 25 April 2015

This is next to a shopping centre and convenient. Breakfast is good and the staff are very courteous. A simple no non-sense hotel. 23 April 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Trip I really enjoyed my Trip to Croydon. The Hotel is within easy reach of East Croydon Station and easy to find, once you appreciate that it is behind the main street rather than on it. I wasn't recognised as a priority club member at the time of check in and had to remind the receptionist about welcome points which was a little disappointing, as to be fair there's nothing much else on offer in terms of additional benefits to Priority Club Members when staying at a Holiday Inn Express, like a room upgrade to an Executive room, so with only one thing to get right, it shouldn't be too hard for the Receptionist to think about it at the time of check in. On the whole however, I found all of the staff very friendly particularly the person who appeared to be in charge of Breakfast, she was fantastic. The room was very peaceful, clean and well looked after. The only disappointing thing was the bed, which was a little lumpy and showing its age, but it didn't stop three very good sleeps. I would definitely stay again when looking for a South London stopover. 17 April 2015
