Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with hotel. We recently stayed for six nights and enjoyed our stay. All staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast choices were more than adequate for a hotel in its price bracket. The room was comfortable and spacious compared to others we stayed at during our travels. Location was great and suited our need to have easy train access to London and Brighton. Only one problem that could easily be rectified was the banging of the "fire doors" in the passage when people arrived late or left early. Perhaps a padded trim could be placed on the door frame to muffle this somewhat. Happy to recommend this hotel October 11, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by stay in croydon hol innn express 28th sept stay in hol inn' most weeks. this was my 60 + stay this year. Reached Spire membership last week. had several issues with this stay 1. I arrived just after midnight tired after a long day. It took receptionist #a trainee# more than 20 minutes to sort out and explain the parking for the hotel 2. There was no recognition of my status #Spire Elite#, or any offer of Welcome points. I had to remind receptionist of the fact. They are still not appearing on my IHG account. 3. My room smelt of aftershave/perfume. When I went to deposit rubbish in the wastebasket in the bath, I found it full of waste already 4. The next morning I tried to get to the ground floor #I was on the 9th floor#. Two lifts, one out of order. After 5 minutes the lift came full of people. I opted to carry all my stuff down the stairs #I couldn’t wait any longer#. The staircase I chose took me to the ground floor where I couldn’t actually get to reception. Only when I re-traced my steps did I find this one was purely a fire escape for each floor. I wrote and complained to the hotel as part of feedback on the above October 4, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All about the staff I always stay at this hotel if I have anything to do in London as the transport links are great and it is far better value than being in the City. The staff are always exceptionally polite and accommodating and make you feel that nothing is too much trouble. They also have very good humour which has in the past made potentially embarrassing situations quite humorous. I will definitely stay at the hotel again without any hesitation as the facilities are more than up to standard for the price. October 1, 2015
