Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Quite Up To Expectation I've used this HI Express over the last 5+ years when visiting my Warwick Office and have found it both well situated and adequately comfortable. It is with some reservation, therefore that I score my last visit so low. On this visit, two things have greatly influenced my feedback, and my feeling is that they are sufficient for me not to be using this Inn again. Firstly, the Porrage Pot, a relaxing bar and restaurant which sits next to the Inn was closed at the start of the year and today still lies near to derelict. The Inn has no restaurant facilities to speak of and so it is a 2 mile walk into town; which is what I did. Caution: while a path exists, you have to cross the road a couple of times to remain on it and there is little or no lighting, so after dark a torch is recommended. Secondly, the Inn has had a makeover. This advertised fact raises expectations. The makeover, however, amounts to a slap of battle ship grey and arctic blue to the walls, the addition of some odd lighting and a charge now for using the carpark! Sadly, these changes have greatly reduced the Inn's appeal, even for an overnight stop. November 22, 2015

The room was very cosy and quiet with a comfortable bed. The hotel also serves a very good full English breakfast. The service was also very good and the staff very helpful to all my needs November 20, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too busy for their own good.. I stay in this HIX often and it is a good hotel in a convenient location. Sadly (for us customers) they are getting busier & busier but do not seem to be responding with the relevant staffing levels. Regularly now the check-in has 5-10 people waiting if you turn up at the busy period between 6pm - 7pm. This time I came down to the bar (one of the hotels that has the bar as an extension of the check-in desk) and waited…and waited…the queue built up…but the check-in desk just kept getting people join the queue also. Realistically, 1 member of staff and a trainee cannot cope with two reception check in stations and a busy bar area - i don't blame the staff, they were very apologetic…but 2 guests had already given up on drinks as their taxi arrived before we all managed to get served. Its all mostly right at this hotel, but staff levels really need looking at. November 5, 2015
