All good . very helpfull staff. very nice and quality food. Pool area has room for improvement as well as room interiors. Overall very good. Looking fiorward to return to Muscat.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MD996 Lap pool shut for almost a week
I selected the intercontinental in Muscat for it's location and sports facilities namely the lap pool. It was very disappointing after being at the hotel for 1 day to be informed the lap pool would be shut for 4-5 days for maintenance. The alternative offered was to use the leisure pool which is a relaxing lagoon shaped pool with so many people playing it is impossible to lap swim.
Also when the pool is open it is only open from (6:30 or 7am as advised) which is not early enough to swim before work.
The noise from the road (if facing the opera house) after 10pm is like a starting grid of a race track.

Solid hotel. Staff mostly on it. A/C was either on or off, set point too low/unadjusted despite repeated attempts and chilly room...great for sleeping under covers.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming and we always come back year after year. The only problem we had was the building work being carried out within the grounds. Not enough information was given about when the changing rooms would be closed for the swimming pool.

Old rooms, furnitures, bathroom. Electrical points not working. Carpet smells and not vacuumed everyday. Overall, unpleasant stay.
