Loved the bed, but the service of the staff was the thing I will remember most about the InterContinental in Buckhead. Everyone we met there was totally fantastic - hardworking, friendly, and concerned about us.
The front desk, the bell staff, the valet, the driver of the car service, the bartender at the Burbon Bar - all top notch people.
We certainly enjoyed our holiday stay there and when I have enough points built back up, we are going to stay there again in Buckhead or at another InterContentinental hotel. That to me is the only downside, of course luxury comes with a steep price. We loved it there but wish it was more affordable. We have to make it a special place to go once a year!

Super satisfied. Not only was the location great; from the second you stepped onto property, the staff was more than courteous and helpful. Whenever I asked for something, service was very prompt. The restaraunt and bar was great as well. Breakfast was better than my local spot.
Beautiful lobby and rooms. Comfortable beds. Exceeded expectations

The hotel's location is great and the room was very clean. However, having previously stayed at other Intercontinental Hotels, I was surprised by the issues my wife and I encountered on our brief stay here. The upper tier TV channels like HBO and Showtime were not working, and the technician who was promptly sent to our room was not able to fix the problem. The king size bed felt more like a queen size. There was plenty of noise from the hallway and from other rooms. Most unpleasant of all was the lukewarm shower we got to enjoy in the morning. At checkout, there were no questions asked whether we enjoyed our stay. I expected more from an Intercontinental property.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. From check-in, restaurant, live music, housekeeping staff, concierge, valet, and check-out, everything was impeccable. I'm looking forward to staying here again very soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

As an Intercontinental Ambassador we were given an upgrade with daily newspaper, fruit and bottled water. The room met expectations for a luxury hotel with the exception that it has yet to add plug stations for computers and chargers. The room was quiet with great views. Valet parking was expensive as was the minibar and room service. The staff was friendly and cooperative. The best service was the free private car service that shuttled you to destinations within 2 miles of the hotel.
All was going well until late Friday night. Upon returning to the hotel at 11:30pm after attending the opera the entire elegant and quiet lobby and bar area was transformed into a wild convention party for realtors complete with a live band. My wife and I had looked forward to a quiet drink and late night snack. We forced our way through the crowd to the rowdy bar and ordered high-end Chardonnay (the Chardonnay choices were only two) which was undrinkable, and quickly left the noisy fraternity pick-up atmosphere behind heading to our room 20 something dollars in the red. Upon return to the room I attempted to order room service only to be told “we are very busy and it would take up to 1 hour”. We then resorted to the minibar and the fruit which was better than nothing and the Chardonnay half-bottle in the minibar which was cheaper and better than that at the bar. We felt boxed in, not catered too, and gave up. At checkout I noted the problems, but got only acknowledgement --- so much for being an IHG Ambassador!
Having stayed at most of the hotels on the Buckhead strip, and talking to the staff at Intercontinental and the others, it is clear that these hotels all cater to locals as much as to their guests. Fridays and Saturday are devoted to local events, weddings, parties often at the expense of the guests. In this case the Intercontinental should have shunted these noisy private gatherings to non-public areas of the hotel, not its main lobby and bar surrounding passage to the elevators and depriving guests of access to services. At least the W Hotel next door runs a disco on the upper floor to segregate the local commotion.

This was my first visit to this area and I love this hotel! My room was spacious, very clean and they designed the features with very good use of space! The layout of the bathroom was well thought out and it was easy for me to get organized. The staff was very friendly, from the moment I arrived to the time I left, everyone was all smiles and eager to help. The restaurant staff was very attentive and very courteous, it made a difference each start of my day. The breakfast buffet was great- wide variety of choices and the coffee was very good! I love the proximity of this hotel to the metro station and shopping amenities. Great experience overall!
