Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gbtinker Kitchen service does not keep up
When I arrived very late on a Sunday the one restaurant was still open. The wait staff did not seem to know where to seat us and did not appear to want to wait on me and the other member of my party in the outer lobby area where seats were available. Once we were able to place our food and beverage order it took an hour for the food and we had to ask twice about it.
I do want to say that the shrimp, crab, and lobster burger is excellent. It just seemed that the kitchen could not keep up and it was not that busy. The wait staff did not seem to care that we were there.
The conference rooms were excellent, the food service for the meeting was great, and my room was comfortable.
Beautiful surroundings and convenient location.

I thought the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I did think, however, that the hotel lacked in a lot of very basic ways. It was obvious that my room hadn't been dusted in quite some time. I felt the room to just generally be dirty. It was also very damp in my room. I'm not sure if that's due to the weather or the air conditioning in my room. The only way for my room to not feel as damp was to turn the air way down to 65 degrees. The room itself never cooled down, though.
I thought the staff at Bistro 55 were frazzled, and therefore, unfriendly. They rushed me and did not treat me any dignity.
The elevators were out of order for the majority of my stay. This caused a lot of delays and inconvenience.
The hotel itself is not exactly conveniently located to the city center. So don't be fooled by how "conveniently" located the website makes the hotel out to be. It is a good 45 minutes away from the airport. Don't bee fooled.
Overall I'd say that my experience was fairly lackluster.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AEAtraveler Great hotel, though needs some TLC
I had a very nice stay, however a couple of things improvements would have made it great. First, 2 of the 4 elevators were out of service during a time when there were a few conferences going on, so it made trips to my room much longer than they needed to be. Also, the room was very clean, but could have used some TLC. It needed a fresh coat of paint or at least patches of paint that matched the rest of the wall. While it's not a huge deal, it can give the appearance of lack of maintenance.

Had great self-parking, fine room accommadations, great personal service. Check-in was a surprisingly quick professional breeze. New LG 42" LCD with good channel selection in room. Could hear the adjacent room; but it is a hotel. Housekeeping was timely & did a perfect job. Thanks Crowne Plaza for a great stay in Atlanta's Perimeter. Bonus: brand new full Starbucks adjacent to hotel grounds.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia for a recent conference and was very dissatisfied with service. My room was not cleaned during my stay although I called Housekeeping to request service after waiting until 4:30. When I called for towels that night, I did not receive them midnight and was told they ran out of washcloths.
The service in the restaurant was extremely slow and they lacked low cost options.

Loved my stay. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly.
The location (across from the mall) was great for walking food options.

Atlanta Perimeter At Ravinia does not fall short on any aspect of quality, cleanliness, service. Check in was smooth, staff was courteous. The restaurants serve delicious food and the staff have great personalities, they all had a smile and a sincere thank you, and the prices are reasonable.

Very much enjoyed my stay for a one day conference. Wife had plenty to do with the indoor pool and exercise facilities and the outdoor sitting and walking areas were a great place to relax.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dan209 Nice lobby area, but the rooms are so so
The lobby is great, but the rooms seem just so so, and the WiFi was almost unusable. Additionally, I wasn't able to connect using VPN at all while staying there, even though I was able to connect barely for normal internet activity.

So I arrive at 1:30 AM and what do I get: a night manager who has it connected. Speeds me through to an upgraded room, because, who else is going to arrive at 1:31 AM? Nice.
So I go to breakfast, no smoothies. The blender is broken. A manager hears my lament and chats me up. Then the waitress says that if I am staying the night tomorrow she will bring in HER blender. I read only into that an accomodating staff. Too bad I am staying only one night.
The ambiance of the lobby is both relaxing and interesting. Trees two stories high, a running creek (forget brook) cascading down the 30 foot side wall into the outside mini-forest. Loved it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lively38 Beautiful atmosphere, helpful staff.
While overall I enjoyed my stay at this lovely facility, I was disappointed to not find any recycling bins in the lobby or rooms. The carpet in my room felt wet when I walked on it and on the floor (4th) where I stayed I did not feel safe because the lock on my windown could have been picked quite easily from the neighboring room that shared the roof top view. The room I was in needed a fresh coat of paint.
The shuttle service around the area was much appreciated and the hotel lounge and coffee area were great. More seating inside the beautiful inside lobby area with so many great plants would have been nice too.
The perimeter was wonderful and I would recommend it as a nice getaway for sure!

The front desk staff is wonderful, and the property offers a coffee bar with Starbucks coffee and a wonderful gift shop for snacks and beverages. But the parking garage is tricky to maneuver, as the spots are very tight! Room service is quick, but is expensive and very seldom gets the order 100% correct. I have stayed at this property 8 times, and the cooling system has worked properly during only 50% of my stays. If you need to be cool at night, this is not the place for you.The location is great if you're looking for shopping and restaurants close by.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by paula28 completely unprepared
On arrival, despite the fact there were several porters available, no one offered to assist with luggage or anything. In fact, when I went in to register, one of them took my keys and disappeared, then I had to hunt him down to get them back to unload my OWN luggage and get it to the room.
It took over an hour in the Bistro 55 to get our meal the first night, despite the fact that less than 10 people were in there. When we questioned the server, the response was , "I forgot". Completely unacceptable. Also, she could tell us nothing about the items on the menu. She was unfamiliar with the food choices.
We were there for a conference, and for a hotel that boasts business service, this was the worst. Internet service was an extra charge. What's that about? Even low cost motels give you free internet access. Then, at lunch break, which was only an hour long, there was one person checking people out at the buffet. I stood in line for 45 min, ended up with cold soup and a piece of a salad for $12. The buffet was poorly planned, as it was a table about 6 ft long to try to accommodate a large conference crowd. The lettuce was in the center, forcing the line to double back on itself into other waiting customers in order to finish making the salads. I gave up. It was a complete mess. Since we only had an hour to eat, I ended up getting a go box and trying to eat, write, listen all at the same time.

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is located within walking distance to many nice and delicious restaurants, a mall, and several shopping centers. It is even close to a MARTA depot. However, we had numerous problems. I was quoted a price since we were in a group, but was billed a higher price and was told there was nothing they could do about it. The room key would not open the door, even after engineering attempted to service it repeatedly. The staff seemed as if they did not know what they were doing and definitely had problems communicating with each other and us. The shower knob was not in good working order and would not make the water warm enough. It may have just been an off day for them, so I would definitely proceed with caution.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jason75GA Older, but beautiful hotel with full service and great bedding
The Ravinia's rooms are showing their age, but the public spaces are immaculate and picturesque. Perfect area in Atlanta, close enough to shopping and dining...out of the way of downtown. A few small glitches, safe in room didn't work. One blown light bulb.
Most important was the service. I was awaked on my second night there by the next-door neighbors screaming and fighting in the corridor. Security not only promptly addressed the situation, but also came by several times during the night to check that the noise hadn't started up again.
Due to the unpleasant experience mentioned above, I asked to be moved to another floor, as the guests that we being boisterous were going to be staying there the following night. Jeff at the front desk moved me to the club level to a room that was much more quiet. Overall a very good experience. Great for meetings and conferences

I frequently stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and customer focused as always.
But this time the A/C in my room did not work, the light at the desk did not work and the toilet did not flush well.
So I had a night where I did not sleep well.....

Normally, when I check in I get greeted and welcome like totally awesome way with big smile and make me feel like most valuable guest.
I didn't get even 10% of that when I checked in. Was disappointed with how I was served. It look though person who checked me in didn't really enjoyed their job. If this was restaurant than most probably I would leave most minimum tip and not likely go back.

Just stayed 1 night; when I got there the computer systems were down, so I had to wait a short time to get my key and room. The staff did what they could to make things as perfect as possible. To make up for the wait they provided me with a coupon for a free breakfast the next morning, which was excellent. It would be nice if you didn't have to pay for internet access in the room; nothing like being nickle-and-dimed for that kind of thing at a nice hotel.

Housekeeping was very remiss in their duties. Some days, we didn't get enough towels. We only had the coffee packages 1 day out of our 4 day stay (although, one time they DID leave us a package of Decaf...but NO cups!). The toilet ran non-stop. The ice maker on the 9th floor did not work. The elevators are very, very slow - most mornings it took us 15-20 minutes to get an elevator. When it came time to check-out - we were told the computers were down, and they would call us regarding the amount they would be applying to our Visa card. It has been 7 days...and we still have not heard from them...I can only hope they don't over-charge us "in error". The rooms are dated and dreary. On a positive note, the exterior grounds are lovely.

We stayed in room 905. The toilet runs non-stop. Housekeeping was negligent in providing coffee (sometimes none...sometimes only de-caf...and usually forgot to leave cups). In the mornings, it was virtually impossible to get an elevator going to the lobby (always full to capacity)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WLeeFrank What's with the elevators?
This was probably my least favorite hotel experience in Atlanta a place that I have visited many times over the past 20 years. This property is in desperate need of major renovations for the common areas and the guest rooms. The color scheme is almost depressing and the elevators were absolutely dreadful. !5 to 20 minute waits from the 4th floor. The IHG brand of hotels must do much much better than this.

I was very dissatisfied with hotel. When I booked the room I informed them that I was a Priority Club Member. I called ahead becausing i was moving hotels and to make sure i could check in, they said i could. When i arrived there was a wait, that was fine but they keep giving Other people rooms and not me. They said they did not know i was a Priority Club Memeber although i told them. then the rooms were the wrong kind and it was so late at night it was not worth fighting with them. I will stay somewhere eles next time i go to Atlanta

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They were all very pleasant and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RMartin58 Reasonable value, great location for my needs
All in all, this property is a good value and comfortable. The rooms are clean but they are a bit dated. I choose this hotel due to it's proximity to the IHG offices nearby.
My one complaint is with the Bistro; the food is so-so and the service can be lacking at times.
