    Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed My husband and I were celebrating an anniversary, and very rarely ever get to do anything nice to celebrate. This year we decided to stay at a very nice hotel (for our very first time). After days of reading reviews and doing research, I picked IHG Buckhead. The hotel even called a couple days in advance of our arrival, to confirm arrival time, and when we wanted the champagne and roses (we splurged on the romance package). We were so excited when the day finally came. As we pulled up to the front, we were very impressed. Upon check-in, we were told that it would just be a 'few minutes' before our room was ready. Mind you...when they called a couple days prior, we confirmed we would be there at 3pm that day. So that is about the time we arrived, and ended up waiting almost an hour for our room. Then after waiting a half hour or so for our luggage, my husband finally went back down to get them. We were then told that the front desk 'lost' our luggage tag. Then we were supposed to have the champagne on arrival to our room (again, confirmed the couple days prior), and no champagne. We were told that they didn't start delivering that until why even ask when we want it then?? We weren't too upset at this point, but were just disappointed. Then after we decided to go to bed, there was a loud group of people we could hear and we let it go for awhile. We couldn't initially tell where the noise was coming from, and finally discovered it was coming through a vent in our room! We called the front desk twice. I understand they can't control the noise. But again, its coming from a vent! I would've liked for security to come in the room to hear for themselves. Our 2nd call was around 3AM, and i had yet to sleep yet. They said there was nothing they could do. Um, how about you offer to switch our room???? We didn't fall asleep until 5AM. As parents to 2 young children, i think i would've gotten better sleep at home. We were just really disappointed that we had this experience after splurging on this hotel, when we wouldn't normally. Next time i think we will just stick to a regular, cheaper least its quiet there! May 28, 2015
    Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Intercontinental in Buckhead is our favorite hotel of all time We always compare our hotel stays to our experience at Intercontinental - it's our favorite hotel of all time. We love pulling up to the valet and being greeted by very happy and positive people who help us unload our car and bring all our stuff to our room. The staff who help us check-in are very nice and helpful too. Our room is always beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. Great location too! May 27, 2015
