The bathroom was Gorgeous, and we loved all the extras!!! So nice for both of us to be able to get ready at the same time and not be in each others way!!! Robe felt amazing after my shower!!! For not much more money we got to stay in a place that really felt like a real hotel instead of some road-side, off-the-shelf brand that serves hockey-puck danishes and watery coffee for breakfast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful refurbishing! The friendly front desk clerk told us it was our 20th stay here! We always feel welcomed from the time we drive up until we leave. The entire staff is exceptional & always willing to go an extra step to make our stay a good experience. We were surprised to enter a beautifully refurbished room! It is sleek & modern & well- planned for any traveler. The access to Cleveland Clinic from the hotel is so well designed. Everything is connected and you can just leave your car parked the entire time. I highly recommend this hotel! 06 August 2014

The service and staff were exceptional--especially those in the Club Lounge--and the hallways, rooms and lobbies were immaculate. It is obvious that this is a well managed hotel that is focused on first rate service and constant attention to customer expectations. The entire hotel was open, appealing and exceptionally appointed. The rooms were large and bright and provided exceptional views of the city. The beds and linens were of the finest quality and they provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for a long and restful sleep. The dining experience at Table 45 was outstanding in service, taste and atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel as your first choice in Cleveland 05 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic I had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and my surgeon asked/highly recommended that I stay at the hotel overnight after surgery. The nurse and surgeon visited me in my room the day following surgery which was convenient for me since I live in Akron. I would not likely have otherwise stayed at the InterContinental as it is out of my standard price range. 05 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenience and Comfort We enjoyed our stay at Intercontinental Hotel. The convenience to Cleveland Clinic was a real plus. Then after a long day to return to our room of pure comfort. The bed, pillows, and coverlet were the best. This was our 1st stay and we plan to return on our next visit to Cleveland Clinic. 29 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Problems getting towels & room smelled smokey Hotel was beautiful & good value for location-made hospital stay much easier. We were upgraded to 12th floor. However upon arrival our room smelled like smoke...I called & asked front desk but they said it wasn't a smoking room. So they sent housekeeping up with some room spray. It didn't neutralize the odor & it particularly smelled as though someone had been smoking in the bathroom. It didn't go away. No offer was made to switch rooms which surprised me. I really let this go & just asked to note my bill so we would not be charged for the smokey smell. We realized there was only 1 set of towels in the bathroom. We were there/arrived around 630 that night & it was around 730-8 when we called to get more towels. We were told housekeeping would bring them up. Noone ever dropped off towels. None were left at the door either. We were exhausted & didn't complain or call again that night. figured we could get them quick at the front desk in the morning. We ran over to hospital at 510am. Only 1 of us took a shower due to lack of towels. When my father in law got into surgery I ran back to shower, close to 745am. I asked the front desk if I could just pick up towels since they weren't delivered last night & they said they didn't have any to hand me & when I asked if I could go to housekeeping to pickup myself they said I could not. They would have to have housekeeping bring them to our room. I told them they never brought the night before & they said they would ensure they brought them up. We go to our room...15 minutes passed in our room & still no towels. I called the front desk & said I'm still waiting on towels & can I go pik them up somewhere & they said no they'd have housekeeping bring them. Now 35 minutes has passed. No towels. I jump in the shower using used towels...not ideal & I'm very frustrated no one can manage to get us towels...i was very irritated. When I got done with a shower - probably a 15-20 minute shower (so almost one hour since i was at the front desk) finally a knock on our door & towels were delivered. This may seem trivial but having to ask 3-4 times for towels over a period of 12ish hours (night before into next morning) isn't acceptable. Why couldn't I just go to housekeeping & pickup myself? Why couldn't the front desk hand me towels? Why was the front desk hands off getting towels after I explained we'd been waiting since the night before? Just not acceptable customer service at all. 28 July 2014

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, but the location was the key highlight for us. We were able to easily travel back and forth from my Mother's appointments to our room in less than 5 minutes (on foot). 18 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful room and great staff Stayed at this hotel for a wedding - from top to bottom we were VERY happy with our stay (the reception was also at the hotel AND also professionally handled) - Honestly, we don't often stay at hotels with these amenities but we were very pleased with our experience - BONUS was being near the Cleveland Clinic rooftop where we were able to watch the Cleveland fireworks on the 4th of July!!! 18 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel The staff member in the Club Lounge was very courteous. Our car was always waiting by the time we got down to the lobby. That is nice, often when we valet a car it is brought from far away and we have to wait for it. I guess they have somewhere near by to park the cars. If you are looking for the light switches, try the end table on the side closest to the bed. They are very discreet. 17 July 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Finally updated The hotel has finally undergone a much needed, albeit minor upgrade. Everything is white now, as if they just painted it with a coat of primer. It all looks very much like the newer areas of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. So if you enjoy sleeping in the hospital rooms, this is probably the hotel for you! I don't understand why this property never upgrades Platinum Ambassador members to the concierge levels. 15 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great bed, beautiful facility, convenient to the hospital and clinic, safe I was in Cleveland to go to the Cleveland Clinic. The price of the facility was very expensive for someone ill needing to get medical care. The facility was beautiful, clean, comfortable and modern. You need nicer folks at your front desk. THEY give the overall impression for your hotel. Your housekeeping staff was very nice and so was the bell captain, server in your breakfast and lunch restaurant. 14 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not near expectation We arrived late at the hotel due to problems on the road. The Valet was most courteous and helpful , as was the Bell Men. All restaurants in hotel were closed so we were told room service was open, which sounded like a great idea since it had been a long day. We search room for menu, Bellmen searched room also, no menu. We called room service and told them we wanted to order but we did not have a menu. They said they would have one sent up immediately. In a few minutes I receive a call from desk asking us to recheck room , as if I was a idiot. I explained even the Bellman could not find the menu, front desk hung up. I called back to room service since it now was even later and we needed to rise early in the morning for a appt. at Cleveland Clinic. I asked for them to just tell us what was on the menu, I was told too many entree to list,,, so I said "do you just have a Hamburger and FF..... yes was the reply,, so finally now after over a hr after arrival we were able to order a meal. It does seem a simple meal as such, costing over $56.00, should never have been such a ordeal to accomplish in a 5 star hotel. Also we decided to check out next day, MENU still had NOT arrived !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,,We asked at the front desk to send for our bags in 10 minutes, in 25 minutes we called and requested again,this is what I expect from a 1 star hotel, not 5 star ! Also room was for 2 , why towels for 1? Window shade very hard to get to and operate .... not a 5 star feature. can not comment on amenities, nothing in room to tell us what they were. Do not know about IHG rewards were never offered. NO concern for detail ! Returning in August, will stay at another hotel 11 July 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Connected to Cleveland Clinic I stayed at this hotel because a family member was a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. There is a hallway that joins the hotel to the clinic. It was nice to be able to travel back and forth between the two buildings without having to go outside. The valet parking was nice as well. All of the staff I dealt with were pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who has a family member in the Cleveland Clinic or anyone in general. 03 July 2014
