Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could Be Great.. Our 2nd Time Here..The Lobby And Valet Are Beautiful.. The Valet Guys And The Bell Staff Are Wonderful!! Just Like Last Time The Front Desk Is Painfully Slow A Bit Rude And Seem Disinterested And Confused. This Is Every Time I Had To Deal With Them, Changing Keys, Questions, Boarding Passes Because There Is Not A Printer At The Computer Station And Checking Out.. Never Fails Doesnt Matter Who It Is At The Front Desk ALWAYS The Same Bad Service!!! The Rooms Are Pretty! However, The Carpet Is Stained And Worn. The Chair Is Full Of Stains And Has Rips In It!!! We Had Connecting Rooms And The Chairs And Carpet In Both Rooms Were Disgusting!!! Also The Scales In Both Bathrooms Are Worn, Old And We Would Not Stand On Them!!! The Housekeeping Staff, Room Service, Engineering (Brought Up A Fridge) And The Restaurant Are All WONDERFUL!!! If This Hotel Were Not Attached To The Cleveland Clinic I Think They Would Try Harder, Captive Audience! 20 February 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable Room 1125 had no light switch I could find that illumins the room from the hall door. The light on the table by the door is good but not enought for a person to cross the entire room in the dark to locate the applicable switch for the room. Also, the mattress is very uncomfortable. Too firm. And finally, one wash cloth? Seems rather penurious. 19 February 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice experience. We have been staying at this facility each time we have surgery/appointments at the Clinic since 2004. It is most convenient and we don't have to worry about the weather or time of day as we can easily walk to our various destinations. In all these years we only had one unpleasant experience with one unpleasant employee. At that time I vowed never to return. However, given the advantages, I reconsidered and I'm glad that I did. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You MUST stay here. A 6-night stay for Clinic appts. turned into a MEDI-cation thanks to the luxurious retreat-like ambiance of this property. Room comfort (including top-notch-appointed bathroom) was spectacular, despite the view. Dined at Table 45 6 consecutive evenings. Always treated as a regular; wide variety of entrees catered to our every taste. Never tried to upsell. Very chill. Knowledgeable staff recommended best local attractions. Concierge, valet parking and front desk services all brilliant. Indoor access to all clinic buildings & Starbucks a definite plus. 28 January 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No power!!!! The hotel had no power for about 3 hours the night before a very important meeting...that really did not help me! It was freezing cold and the heater was not working! If it was not for that, that would have been a very pleasant stay at this hotel... But unfortunately the one thing I can remember is being cold and having to pack in the dark! 27 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff I have been coming here most weeks during the school year and I've found the front desk staff to be absolutely great, that the staff in the club lounge wonderful, your concierge a true delight and people in the restaurants really wondeful to deal with. Since I'm here so much they all know me and treat me well, but they also treat everyone else with care and give great service. The rooms fall a bit short in comparison to other Intercontinentals I've stayed at. I know they are planning a renovation, but you should do it sooner rather than later, the carpets in the rooms are pretty bad and also the covered furniture leaves a lot to be desired I don't even sit on it. If you did this renovation you'd have a great hotel again. 23 January 2013

I called and asked for housekeeping lost and found twice and had to leave a detailed message, including my name and phone number, twice. I never received a call back. I then called and spoke with the hotel manager who was very apologetic and promised me he would follow up and call me back. He took my name, my telephone number, pulled up the foloio for my stay and got a detailed description of the tie. He never called me back. This is very poor customer service. I hope whoever is wearing my $160 tie is happy. 22 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Convenient My stay was for business. I was impressed with the staff and accommodations. The amphitheater was impressive, meeting the needs of the conference I attended. The check in, bell service and valet attendants were very pleasant to interact with. You have also chosen good service personnel for the buffet dining during the conference. I will miss Albert and his attention to my coffee needs the most. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Bed and comfort Room service greeter was mean and my food was wrong everytime. Hairs were found in sink and scale in bathroom did not work. Light in closet flickered all night long. Shower was nice and hot. Bed was overall wonderful, the view was spectacular. 21 November 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing stay Shockingly rude front desk man who I encountered during checkin on a Sunday evening. He was arrogant and tossed my confirmation letter at me and said it doesn't matter that I had a confirmation if the hotel didn't have a record of it. He also wouldn't honor the conference rate because of the passed deadline when I booked well before the deadline! I will avoid this hotel if possible. I have never been treated so badly as a guest at any hotel. Terrible service. 18 November 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location for the Cleveland Clinic but needs help in housekeeping! This hotel is not unreasonably cheap or expensive, some parts are really great, check-in, extended stay required, valet parking, good rooms. Housekeeping was terrible. One lovely lady named Tara was most efficient but for the most part our sheets were dirty, no clean glasses from mini-bar daily, did not even pick up dirty ones. We had no kleenex one evening upon return, all lights were on in the room (why?? we turnd them off!) Overall the front desk and entrance people were great but there seems to be a huge problem with housekeeping in general. Also, the restaurant/bar areas were not available for long term guests, somewhat trapping into what the hotel decided on. The other Inter-Continental was far more willing to work with schedules of people. Also, a strange enounter..... I was returning from the Clinic late at night and a late night party had blocked off my entrance from the skywalk to the hotel elevator. Luckily a physician was walking through and helped me find an alternative route to my room at 10p.m. We will have to return many time, but not sure if we will stay here again. It had it's really goods and it's really bads. 18 November 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Interecontinental - cleveland clinic location My family and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times this fall and have spent tens of thousands of dollars at this hotel. I would make the following comments: First, Monica on the concierge floor is excellent (I believe that is her name). The front desk people are poor (Damian, Rhansee and Teresa). They take forever to check people in. There are constantly errors on the bill -- either from the parking garage or the minibar. Just this last visit, I was erroneously checked out because I had two reservations back to back. The parking garage charge on one was $20 and on the other was $24. I asked Rhansee to fix this and she mistakenly checked me out and didnt credit me with the correct amount. Also, they will put me in rooms where the "welcome package" for Ambassasdor members is missing, which tells me that they switched me out of the room/rooms The bell staff are excellent - especially Kelvin but there are others that I do not remember their names. The car parkers are excellent. The room service people are excellent. Jennifer, and other receptionists, that answer the service line are excellent. The minibars are frequently broken and are not always serviced. Twice there have been issues with the TVs and closed captioning is not always available for movies. Interesting, given that this is a well-ness type of hotel. Also, there are frequently issues with the equipment, etc in the work-out facility...that I would rate as averagea. Again, given the wellness aspect of the facility, it is surprising. Also, another observation, since we have stayed in multiple rooms in the hotel, the furniture is not consistent. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Food The hotel is nice, as is the staff. But the room service food isn't good and Table 45's food isn't good. I had pasta last time and it tasted like spaghetti o's from a can. The time before that I had room service, Margarita pizza which tasted like something that had been frozen. I've never had anything good to eat there. They also charged $4.00 for a snickers bar, come on! So way too expensive for what you get. 15 November 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, comfortable room We came to Cleveland to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and my husbands 60th birthday. I chose Cleveland as a surprise to my husband since he is a music buff as well as a major football fan. Before coming I spoke to some staff at the Intercontinental who helped me plan our weekend (Rock and Roll Hall of fame and the Football Hall of fame) as well as recommendations for restaurants to eat in. We liked our room very much and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel's main restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and very good at suggestions for ordering. After talking with our waiter of why we were in Cleveland, he surprised us with a special dessert with a candle. We were also surprised with a bottle of wine and a fruit platter sent to our room from Kim at registration. In addition Adriano from reservations also sent us a bottle of champagne with some candy to celebrate our anniversary. All and all I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area. 05 November 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed We had appointments & tests at the Clinic in am, then appointment with Dr. that afternoon. We were unexpectedly referred to a Dr. in Radiation Oncology who squeezed us in that day as we were flying home late afternoon. This was not planned and I noticed we were getting close to checkout time. I called the front desk to explain our delima but was told to check out by 2 pm or pay another day. That expense was was simply too great to dismiss so I left the meeting, ran back to the hotel, retrieved our bags, checked them with the bellman & ran back to the Dr.s consultation only to have missed it. While the hotel was well within their right to threaten me with another charge, I felt the woman at the front desk was uncaring & unsympathetic given the income the hotel must receive from the Clinic patients. The irony is we would have only needed 15 extra minutes to complete our consultation. 20 October 2012

Good day, I don't know where to start but to make it very brief. here are my points and I hope this will be taken seriously as I am a frequent guest in this hotel: - Service is bad (housekeeping, room service operator, housekeeping staff) - Room cleanliness, rooms are dirty, towels are dirty and old, room carpet is dirty, corridor carpet is filthy, each floor of the hotel smells bad (odor) I did complaint but no response. - Staff. I think more than 50% of the staff have little or no experience. - Room service is very poor. - Room furniture is expired, broken, filthy, spots all over ....etc. - Laundry, it took 2 days to get them back because they didn't know those cloths to whom it belongs to!!! - For that kind of negative issues, the price is way high for that type of quality. Has no value for money. and I feel bad spending all that money in this hotel. Not worth it. These are major issues and serious problems that is happening in this hotel and must be taken into consideration. . 18 October 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cleanliness I returned to my room to find some sort of fecal matter that had been smeared on the bathroom tile floor and the carpet. I can only assume it was carried in from the cleaning staff. I asked the front desk to have someone sanitize the floor when they cleaned the bathrooms the following day.
