Warsaw

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 148 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hotel in Warsaw As a long time traveler to Warsaw, I would highly recommend this hotel. it is unpretentious, furnished in the modern style you would expect from any large corporate chain. Interaction with the reserved but friendly staff is always a pleasure. What you will get, good sized rooms, the corner suites are exceptional value & very large. You can, if you wish, comfortably entertain 6 people... The room service food is ok to good & mostly arrives hot enough to eat. The Hotel restaurant puts on an exceptional Sunday buffet with the normal day to day offerings being of a high quality & good selection. The Platter restaurant is slightly ectopic in regards to the decor for a modern hotel, but the food is excellent, try their signature dish of Venison, it is outstanding. In fact, I have never had substandard food in either of the hotel restaurants. Wedel on the ground floor is a different matter though, cold food & slow service. In their defense, this may be due to the distance of their kitchens, but they need to sort it out or change it to a sushi bar.. now you're talking... Revisiting what other guests have written about the staff. There is a different mindset in Warsaw, one of quiet, reserved, dignity. Any smile you get is genuine. It is not unfriendly or uncaring! If you are looking for the constant plastic fixed smile & have a nice day, do you want yellow, blue or green butter with your toast, then you are in the wrong place. I like the honestly, treat the staff with the respect you would yourself expect & the smiles & extra effort will be your reward.. On a final note, if you require solitude & anonymity, no problem, put your do not disturb sign on the door & tell reception you are not in. You will not be disturbed by room service or minibar re-fillers unlike the previous luxury collection hotel I used for 4 years. Overall, you get what you pay for so it is good value & I highly recommend it. 09 February 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Confortable room Very confartable and spacious room. New, clean and well equipped. At club floor I even had a nespresso coffee machine for quality in room quality coffe.. The only spot was Wifi which was free in the room too but not well communicated. So I though I had to pay for it.. 30 January 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It was worst stay at Intercontinental Warsaw Under cover sheet was dirty and it was clear to see even it was over bed sheets. I made a phone call to service section then a woman answered they will send a manager to our room but no manager came. On behalf of manager, room cleaning woman came to our office and tried to change bed sheets then we told her to change under cover sheet. We were not confortable behavior of room cleaning woman. On the other hand, service of a guy at Wedel in the hotel was too bad. He served other guests evenwe order first and also he didn't bring ANYTHING more than 20 minutes. Even he didn't bring us anything for a while after we claimed. What a unbelievable thing was he asked us to pay for a drink even that drink was not hot. We ordered a hot drink but the drink was almost cold. Intercontinental hotel Warsaw was my favorite hotel in the group but we will try to stay another hotel if hotel staff keeps this kind of service level. 18 January 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Business hotel In September 2012, I chose Warszawa's "InterContinental" hotel for spending a weekend in Poland's capital. I booked "Club Intercontinental" and got a room on the 36th floor with a marvellous view over Warszawa. My room was nicely equipped, with some welcome drinks waiting for us. The staff was very friendly. All of our requests were handled in a professional way. Having booked "Club InterContinental", we had access to the Club lounge on the 41st floor. This way we escaped from the usually crowded breakfast utilities, and had some drinks or snacks also inbetween - besides even better panoramic views than from our hotel room. The hotel itself is in walking distance both from the Wisla river, and from the old town centre. Just around the corner, there are many shops and facilities. In a couple of minutes, one gets to the next railway station. The distance to the airport is less than 20 minutes taxi drive. Over all, I very much appreciated our stay at the "InterContinental" in Warszawa. 10 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay - Great Staff - Nice Room I've stayed at the Warsaw Intercontinental several times and am always impressed with the level of service and staff attitudes, nothing is too much trouble to accomplish. I stayed in a room with club lounge access, although we aren't early risers so miss out on the free breakfast etc. but it's a decent lounge with great views. On the downside this time I felt the food choices in the lounge throughout the day were a bit lacking, just nibbles of fruit, croissants and small pastries etc. - I seem to recall more food options such as meats, cheeses and breads etc. however it was over the new year period so maybe that's why - The evening meal buffet is usually very well presented and high quality. On this stay we didn't really get value for money out of the club option however there's wine, spirits and beers to drink etc. so anyone who normally spends time in hotel bars would soon recoup the cost of a club room so it's great value still for most people. We ate room service a few times and it was excellent, great choices, fantastically prepared and presented and good value by hotel standards. I've stayed at other hotels in Warsaw in the past and whilst some are very good the Intercontinental is the best on all levels. The Warsaw Intercontinental is one I happily recommend and my default choice when in Warsaw. 07 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Customer I stay at Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw few times a year, and I must admit it's definitely one of my favorite hotels in Poland. Beginning from staff that is very polite and helpful, to comfortable beds, to prices that are affordable to everyone...and this jacuzzi at the 43rd floor, with a panoramic view, is top class! 07 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing property! One of the best IC properties in Europe I stayed at. In the financial district of Warsaw, easily accessible from airport and few steps away from central train station. 10 minutes walking to the Old Town and amazing views from 43rd floor. Totally recommended. 06 January 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I had better hotel experiences The corner executive junior suites are more suites than junior: 2 rooms, very large (around 70 sqm) Classic corporate but still elegant interior design Seating area with (great) flat screen television, (poor quality) iPhone dock, desk, minibar Separate toilets Bedroom with closet, sofa, flat screen television (large selection of international channels) and iPhone dock Nespresso coffee maker Marble bathroom with separate walk-in shower and bathtub. Elemis cosmetics Flower in the seating area The club lounge is quite large. Dated design Panoramic view over the (ugly) city Good selection of evening food (but do not expect haute cuisine) Very good breakfast Charming lady at club reception, but the other members of staff are not experienced and not really smiling. 2 PCs Conference room Good - Large junior suite - Large pool with panoramic view (but can be quickly noisy) Bad - Nothing justifies the price of the club lounge - The worst check-in experience I have ever had. First a trainee at the Ambassador check-in desk asked me silly questions about my credit car. Then arrived an other member of staff. No hello, no smile, no welcome. - Water leaking from the lamp in the ceiling over the toilets when having the shower . I called the technician. Noone after 15 minutes. Called again. Was asked to say again the problem. Finally a technician arrived, who seemed to be familiar with the issue (any maintenance problems at this hotel?) and let the sink dirty after work (actually removing the lamp from the ceiling). - Coffee machine was out of order in the club lounge, which means we had to wait (a lot) to get a coffee at breakfast time. - Location in the ugly part of one of European ugliest capital cities, where corporate towers seem to compete to have the ugliest glass and steel building - Waiting time for elevator on high floor - Last nasty touch when it was time to call for a taxi. I specifically asked for a regular cab, knowing that hotel's taxi fare are much more expensive. The bellboy made a phone call, and a chauffeur arrived. I said: I asked for a regular taxi. By chance, a taxi arrived with guest inside. The bellboy said: Oh no, don't take this one, it may be booked. Another member of staff looking for hotel revenue rather than guest satisfaction! 04 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A fantastic hotel. Have stayed here 4 times, a wonderfull hotel with great location. Best lounge EVER! (my recommendation: pay the extra for lounge access, you will nor regret it). 15 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to stay This is my preferred hotel in Warsaw. I'm travelling to Warsaw 2-3 times a month staying at different hotels, but InterContinental is simply the best. In particular the fitness room on the 43rd floor is great, with everything in fitness equipment that you can imagine plus the absolutely stunning view of Warsaw skyline. Great comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. Recognition as a Platinum Ambassador and always gets room upgrade and wine and fruit in the room when arriving. Also in the Deluxe rooms and higher a complimentary nespresso coffee maker is available for that great cup of coffee when relaxing in the room in the evening. 04 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect luxury Superb location, excellent staff and just perfect for a luxury personal break or business trip. 29 November 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Club Intercontinental , WArsaw As usual we enjoyed staying at the hotel but the club food was a bit disappointing. The staff in the club are extremely thoughtful but we felt that the new style of hot food in the evening, whilst attractively presented, is not as good as previously . In particular we fund two problems. the small dishes become very hot in the containers and tend to burn your hand when you pick them up. worse, the food becomes dry very quickly. 23 November 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Top spectacular view in taste of luxury style The Hotel and it's staff is just super! I can recommend the hotel. But there is one side note. We have arrived late in the night and the Hotel was overbooked due to a system error (The front desk told us so). Even corporate reservation guarantee we had to stay in one of the partner Hotels (Holiday Inn) around the corner. Day after we could check-in and have been upgraded to the next higher room, however I don't believe that from Monday to Tuesday they just free up 3 Suites - day before all of them where occupied. The prize per room in average in Poland is quiet high but compared to the service you get fair enough. 22 November 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent modern hotel with great Club lounge A weekend stay in October 2012 - fantastic room (corner suite on the 39th floor, unfortunately the view is of Warsaw which even it's biggest fans probably wouldn't describe as the most attractive of cities). Club lounge was the highlight of the stay - food available all day, including hot breakfast and choice of hot food in the evening, plus cakes, pastries and delicious chocolates during the day. Lots of space, tea and coffee available all day and good selection of alcoholic drinks in the evening. 5 minute walk to the central rail station and a good shopping centre, he new rail link to the airport makes this a very convenient choice. Superb value for money, just wish I had reasons to visit Warsaw more often. 22 November 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ambience of subtle and discreet Luxury This Warsaw hotel is enhanced by a five-star level of service at boutique prices. Among the many facilities there’s a fully-equipped Gym and no other hotel in Europe has such incredible views from the Pool and Jacuzzi (top floor), especially at night when the PKIN is lit up outside your window! WOW. The ambience of the Interconti is discreet, Its Staff polished and professional and its facilities are thoroughly up to date. The rooms are spacious and spotless and amenities include a fluffy robe, slippers and Elemis toiletries. As a business traveller its home from home and I often extend my stay into my leisure time just to take some relaxation. Food wise I never need to leave the hotel and its restaurants (and especially its breakfasts) are historic! The Club Lounge also has it all.. great food, views, facilities and Staff. Warsaw Interconti has everything whether it be the needs of a busy executive or someone who wants to zone out and relax... or in my case.. a little of both... 12 November 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Rooms and Great Service. The Rooms, Club Lounge and Service were great. The Rooms are spacious and the Staff polite and prompt. The Club lounge is spacious and variety of Refreshments. 02 November 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by European ambiance with spectacular views I travel a lot.. not occasionally but constantly!, Sometimes waking and for a moment not exactly sure where I am and why! Then I realise I'm in Warszawa and a warm homely feeling washes over me as I see I'm at the Interconti! Why? To me there is nothing more relevant in a great Hotel than the importance of service. It must be charming but professional; friendly without being intrusive; ever-present without being noticeable. This along with the combination of location, decoration and attention to detail, a discreet and subtle lack of pretention and great guest facilities makes The Interconti Warsaw one of Europe’s outstanding residences. Outside of The Clement, Monterrey, I have rarely seen such genuine interest in every part of the guest experience. I hate leaving but I love returning! 01 November 2012
