Very clean and good breakfast

Nice experience while passing through McAlester. The staff checking in and out was friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable and sheets smelled clean. Breakfast was a surprise. In addition to the usual hotel breakfast - which was hot and good - there were hot cinnamon rolls!

Could have been better

While the staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the breakfast bar was pretty good, the whole experience could have been better.

After an exhausting day of travel, our first nights sleep was constantly interrupted by 20 to 30 high school kids running up and down the hallway until 2 o’clock in the morning. Hotel staff did nothing.

One of our rooms smelled like old gym socks. We thought we could help the condition by running the fan on the HVAC unit, but it would only run intermittently. (by design I’m sure)

The bathrooms were out of toiletries and they did not clean the rooms once during our three day stay, even after requesting them to do so.

I think it would be a good place to stay if they would just clean the rooms and consider that guests are there mainly SLEEP.

The Holiday Inn here in McAlester, Oklahoma did not disappoint. Great location. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The front desk was quick and efficient. The breakfast had a good variety from cereal and yogurt to eggs and biscuits and gravy. We were on our way to Texas and we will definitely be staying here again.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and provided with excellent customer service. I arrived to my room and it smelled very nice and was very clean. I normally have trouble sleeping away from home but this Hotel is so nice and clean that it made me feel very comfortable and I was able to relax and get my business trip completed. Kudos to Shelley and the team at McAlester!

Clean and well maintained!

It's hard to find a quality, affordable hotel these days. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable our room was. It didn't stink, no damp carpets and the beds/pillows were actually comfortable! Definitely recommend. Breakfast was like every other hotel breakfast. Still wishing someone would break that mold but for now, hotel eggs, average potatoes and green bananas it is.

For the rural area this establishment was a very welcome surprise! Right off the major highway and within walking distance to multiple food establishments in a relatively safe area won me over! The hotel, room, and bathroom were well cleaned and maintained. The staff friendly and fun to interact with! I will DEFINITELY be staying at this location when I needed in this area of Oklahoma!

Great Staff - Poor Housekeeping

This would be a good hotel for a short term stay. Not recommended for anything longer than a few days. There is no variety at breakfast and housekeeping is very poor. Front desk staff is friendly and very professional. Traffic pattern around hotel is very strange and inconvenient. Several restaurants within walking distance to hotel.

Although the rooms are spacious…the hotel itself is very old and the hallways smells like mildew. The towels were very dingy and looked as though they should have been thrown away.

Front desk staff was friendly. Housekeeping was, intermittent at best. Didn't take garbage out in room unless places in hallway. Breakfast was standard fare, but quantity and decent quality

Gym not in best shape, Beds are ok, clean up around the outside of hotel could help.

Gym room needs attention, outside around hotel needs picked up, some small things in rooms need addressed. (ex: shower handle falling off and light fixture boxes need covers or install new light.
