Kushiro city is surrounded by Kushiro Marshland where beautiful Tancho Clane bird can be seen during winter time. There are several observation decks and boardwalks where you can enjoy the spectacular view of marshland and its rare wildlife at Kushiro Shitsugen National Park.

If there's any chance that you come to Kushiro during summer time, we have several exiciting events and festival. For example, Kushiro Kiri festival is going to be held right in front of our hotel that is famous for its lasor show. And, there is Firework festival to celebrate the good catch of fish. One of the biggest firework is called Sanshaku-dama that is a high-light of the event.

Kushiro is well-known for its cool weather and frequent fog occurrence during summer. The average temperature is around 20 Celsius degree, so it's good idea to bring a shawl or light jacket. In wintertime, the road becomes very icy and slippery, so please be careful walking on ice and bring appropriate snow boots.
