This former patrician villa with its three-gabled roof has served as Frankfurt's city hall since 1405. It continues to be the seat of the city's Lord Mayor to this day.

Consecrated in 1833, this church served as the seat for the first German national assembly in 1848, which in turn provided the basis for Germanys present-day constitution. Today, the site hosts award presentations as well political and cultural events.

One of Europe's most significant zoological gardens, established in 1858, featuring two highly interesting exotic and nocturnal animal houses.
