A 30-minute train ride from the hotel, London’s world-class attractions include the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. You can take in panoramic views from the London Eye and snap a selfie with Big Ben. Theatre fans can catch a West End show and shopaholics can make a pilgrimage to Harrod’s. About 15 minutes by train from the hotel, Wembley Stadium hosts major sporting events.

You can shop for essentials or souvenirs at the sprawling intu Watford shopping centre, just over a mile from the hotel. The centre has two floors of major brands such as Zara, Topshop and an Apple Store, plus plenty of eateries and parking spaces. Kids can hunt for hard-to-find sets at the Lego store and join in free activities during school holidays.

If you’re longing to spend some time outdoors, head to Cassiobury Park, less than a mile from the hotel. Take a walk along the Grand Union Canal or look for wildlife on the nature reserve trail. The park has tennis and basketball courts as well. Families can take advantage of the playground and paddling pools (in season). During school holidays, a little steam train chugs its way around the park.
