Step back in time! Bletchley Park, six miles from the hotel, played a crucial role in the Second World War. Head to the museum to see how extraordinary British codebreakers, including Alan Turing, managed to decipher encrypted messages from enemy forces.

Visit over 80 animal species at Woburn Safari Park, a 15-minute drive away. Take a road safari to spot monkeys, giraffes and zebras before checking out Sea Lion Cove and Elephant Meadow. The little ones will love the animal demonstrations and older kids can visit the treetop adventure Go Ape.

Gulliver's Land Resort, opposite Willen Lake, is great fun for the family. Inspired by the classic novel 'Gulliver's Twist', the park has a variety of rides, interactive attractions and themed areas, including the Dinosaur & Farm Park.

The parks in and around Milton Keyes are home to many striking sculptures and other pieces of public art. The Milton Keynes Parks Trust publishes a list of the most important pieces, plus some self-guided tours on its website. You can see several of these works at Willen Lakeside Park, less than a mile from the hotel.
