The Gasometer Oberhausen is an industrial monument in Oberhausen and the highest exhibition and event hall in Europe. It belongs to the panoramas and landmarks as well as the anchor points of the Route of Industrial Heritage and is also included in the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

On the occasion of the Landesgartenschau state garden festival 1999 (North-Rhine-Westphalian Garden Show), the OLGA Park was constructed on the grounds of the former colliery and coking plant Osterfeld. The ample, 26-hectares compound is home to interesting bridge constructions, tree harps and industrial flower fields and thus very popular with visitors as a local recreation area. The OLGA park is equipped with two big children’s playgrounds.
