Totally disappointed with the service, very old hotel and it’s really worth $600 a night

Once checked in and the payment was made, I was sitting at the lobby to wait for the room to be ready. One of the receptionist came by and told me to go and sit outside because she has another group is coming ? I can not believe it, being a diamond elite member with ihg for almost 10 years i have never experience anything like that.
In addition, the room, the pool..ect it’s nothing like the pictures that they advertise. Everything are very very old and rusted. The airconditioner making so much noises. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone

Hi...I had a recent visit to the Holiday Inn resort Kandooma Maldives...and I must say..it was an amazing experience...both the restaurants The kitchen and the Bokkurra coffee club had amazing food...Dimu from the water sports area is an amazing help...special mention to Nick for the best Scuba experience I had ...at the reception a special mention to Shivang, Anushka and Selena...they are amazing right at the start and make you feel so comfortable...lastly the setting of the resort is simply amazing...

I traveled 16+ hours to this resort and upon arrival was told my over the water villa was available and it was not. Was told it would be available in an hour and it was not. Was finally available approximately 5-hours after arrival.
Requesting ice was received by the staff as forbidden thing to do.
During windy events, the main villa entrance door raddled very loudly to the point had to put a towel between the door and the door casing.
The air conditioner was located over the bed and during the night it had a slow continueous leak resulting in the pillows being wet.
The silverware that was placed on our table to use during breakfast had residue left on it, reported it to a waiter who went and retrieved a cloth, wiped it several times at our table and handed it back to me. After that I used plastic silverware that I included in my personal items.
The ice bucket that was delivered to my villa was dirty both inside and out.
AND I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS TYPE OF SERVICE.
EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS RESORT.
Amazing diving holidays

Amazing stay in a diving paradise. The attention of the staff was incredible. The location is outstanding. The proximity to the airport with easy connection by boat is very convenient. The package including the dives is unbeatable. The IHG member service makes you feel really special.
Special thanks to Nick the (5*) diving club manager, to Mark the GM - Who is also a keen and experienced diver and with whom you might have a chance to dive. No room here to name all the special people we met... Do not miss the night dive or the wreck and drift dives. Everything here was about diving for us, and it was very rewarding.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel from April 2 to April 5, 2025. I was traveling with my wife, and the experience was made even better by the exceptional staff.
Front Desk Manager Jean was incredibly supportive and went out of his way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. Her professionalism and warm demeanor truly made a difference.
Housekeeping staff Mintu ensured our room was always spotless and welcoming. We really appreciated the attention to detail.
Bala from the Food & Beverage - team also stood out with his excellent service and hospitality. He made dining a delightful experience for us every day.
A heartfelt thanks to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning!
Bucket List Vacation - Stunning

I have stayed and reviewed many IHG hotels, but this one is absolutely stunning and cannot recommend more highly.
From the moment of arrival to departure (sadly), the staff are incredible in every aspect. Professional, always trying to help and improve every aspect of the resort. However, they are constantly smiling and with sincerity and comes naturally.
As for the resort, it genuinely is stunning and breath-taking. The accommodation / facilities / restaurants and the optional trips are considered and delivery in every way.
Fully recommend the Reef / Turtle / Shark trip.

Our recent Eid holiday at Holiday Inn Kandooma was a wonderful family getaway. The resort was beautiful, and our villa was perfect for us and our child. We especially appreciated the Kids Club, and Pool. The service was excellent throughout our stay. A special thank you to Maleeh for his exceptional hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. He truly enhanced our experience! We highly recommend Kandooma for families.

Wir waren mit unserem Sohn (5 Jahre) im Familienurlaub und können das Holiday Inn Kandooma sehr empfehlen. Alle Mitarbeitenden waren ausnahmslos freundlich, motiviert und bemüht, uns einen schönen Urlaub zu bereiten. Der Kids Club ist wirklich toll, er bietet viele Aktivitäten an und hat auch echt tolles Spielzeug. Das Tauchen war ebenfalls toll, alle Dive Masters (Luca, Shan und Shahud) waren super ausgebildet und ich habe mich sehr sicher gefühlt und hatte tolle Tauchgänge mit Rochen, Moränen, Tintenfischen, Haien, Schildkröten und Delfinen. Es war wirklich toll. An der Rezeption war Maleeh immer dür uns da.
Das Essen war auch der Hit, jeden Tag anders und superlecker. Und montags und freitags kann man sich im Gartenbereich frisch gepflückte Kokosnüsse holen und trinken/essen. Jaufar, der Gärtner, war total nett und hatte mehrere Schaukeln für die Kinder. Alles in allem ein absolut gelungener Urlaub!

몇 가지 시설 관련 문제가 있었지만, 홀리데이 인 리조트 칸두마 몰디브에서 정말 환상적이고 편안한 시간을 보냈으며, 직원들의 노력과 헌신을 진심으로 느낄 수 있었습니다.
샤워 중 벗겨질 타일로 인해 가벼운 부상을 입었고, 둘째 날 저녁부터 셋째 날 아침까지 에어컨 프레온가스 유지보수가 필요해 더운 밤을 보내야 했던 불편함이 있었습니다. 하지만 MALHEE와 JANE이 이 문제들을 신속하고 친절하게 해결해 주신 덕분에 큰 불편 없이 기분 좋게 머물 수 있었습니다.
리조트 규모를 고려할 때 이런 유지보수 문제가 가끔 발생할 수도 있다는 점을 이해합니다. 특히 MALHEE는 제 생일을 특별하게 만들어 주기 위해 따뜻한 환대와 깜짝 선물을 준비해 주었고, 인도네시아와 중국에서 온 비치 바 직원분들(이름을 기억하지 못해 죄송합니다)이 매일 저를 한국어로 반갑게 맞아주셔서 더욱 환영받는 느낌이 들었습니다. 덕분에 정말 행복한 생일을 보낼 수 있었습니다.
JANE 역시 시설 문제를 인지하고 세심한 배려와 친절함으로 도움을 주셨습니다. 전반적으로 홀리데이 인 리조트 칸두마 몰디브는 훌륭한 여행지이며, 저는 감사의 마음을 담아 TripAdvisor와 IHG 본사에 긍정적인 후기를 남길 예정입니다.

We spent 10 nights in paradise, lovely cool relaxing room on the beach, staff were all friendly and courteous and there was a great choice at the food buffet each day. The Thai Kitchen was a nice change from the buffet.
There was music each evening but it was very quiet.
