I had a less then satisfactory stay. When I got to the hotel early and asked if I could leave my bags there, they said they had a room ready. I used a third party to it base my room so my membership didn’t show up right away, but I did provide it. I was given my room key and dropped my items off and went to explore the sights. After returning in the evening I came to notice my room had a discouraging view of the rooftop AC’s from the second floor and views into other rooms. The tv was crooked and wouldn’t stay resting in the nook that was designed to house it. The bathroom shower floor was angled so the water would go down the drain, but it was uneven and I almost fell. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it. I will be staying at more reputable and nicely accommodated hotels in the future.

Having only stayed with family on previous trips, we decided to try a hotel this go-around. Now, this is the only option! The ease of taking the train from JFK to the Even Hotel in Brooklyn is unmatched. It is a short, straight walk from the station to the hotel. You can choose to explore downtown or hop on the nearby train to explore all around the city. The area itself is quiet which is perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The staff were friendly and welcoming whenever we’d encounter them. We did not use the gym or the equipment, but it also looked clean. EVEN Hotel Brooklyn has a new loyal customer.

The hotel is located in a peaceful neighborhood, full of restaurants and close to many Subway stations.
The staff was professionnal and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay

Large rooms for NYC but use of space could have been vastly improved. Our wardrobe was shoved between the outside wall and the bed making it difficult to access and to get in and out of bed. Meanwhile there would’ve been plenty of space for clothing storage on the wall with the unnecessary white board and workout bands, foam roller etc. Very strange use of space. The fan was also loud and kicked on and off all night long. The hotel was dated with tacky vinyl words of affirmation everywhere they could fit them, including the hallways and above the bed. Instead of messages, add some wall hooks!

The hotel was convenient and most of the staff was very nice and friendly. One of the staff members that worked the bar area was fabulous, a very nice friendly lady and I’m so sad that I can’t recall her name. The other guy that worked the bar area was extremely unhelpful and aloof. My coworker and I were very put off.

This hotel was very accommodating and the showers have very high pressure water, beds are comfortable and our room was very spacious and clean.

Comfortable accomodations, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, easy and quick check in and check out experience.
Only issue is the noise from the subway running underneath the front street-facing rooms, could hear from 3rd floor every 10min all night.

The AC did not work then moved to
another room and the door did not lock.

The hotel is in a great location surrounded by many restaurants and retail stores. I arrived about 1.5 hours before check-in. However, the front desk graciously allowed me to check in early, which I appreciated.
However, the cleanliness of this hotel is questionable. Throughout my 3-night stay, the lobby floor was always dirty. Something that appeared to be gum was stuck to my room floor. It was hard to tell because it had been there for a while and was covered in dirt. The bathroom sink would fill with standing water every time I used it. I reported this to the front desk, but their attitude seemed a little lackadaisical regarding the issue. Because of these issues, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had no idea what this hotel would be like, but booking with points gave us a free night when booking four, so we did it, to our most pleasant surprise. It was just a few blocks from the subway, parking (though expensive, though this is NYC after all) was really quite seamless in a lot a few doors down from the hotel (paid for it through the hotel so I get my IHG points), convenient to food and shopping, etc. But the best was the hotel itself, lovely lovely, great front desk staff, terrific room (though the gym equipment is there for younger people, I assume, not old guys like us), terrific bath, no view (but again it's NYC and I paid with points, what did I expect?) we weren't in the room all that much anyway, only to sleep really) with a comfy bed, great lighting, and a nice Kourig coffee machine for mornings. All in all, it was a deal, and a lovely one at that.

The staff was amiable and attentive to all of our requests. We had a smooth stay, quiet, comfy, hassle-free. Trust is not a word you hear much these days, but it's the one word that summarizes my opinion of the place.
