Great location, huge rooms

My grandson and I stayed here for our first trip to Pittsburgh, our first Pirates game and our first stay at an EVEN hotel. It was so conveniently located downtown with a very easy walk to PNC field, less than a mile. There were no scary back alleys we had to go through and we walked with the crowd both to the game and back. The room was so spacious and had ambient lighting that was so cool and exercise equipment. Breakfast was different than some other IHG properties but had a good choice of entrees. The only downside was parking. There was no signage as to where to park and only a few street spaces. Check in is on the 5th floor and then they tell you to park across the street in the public parking garage which was fine and convenient. The staff was awesome at the hotel and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. The parking situation is lacking as you have to park in a garage across the street. The TV in our room didn't work properly, but that was not really a big deal. The food was very good and the service was above and beyond.

My spouse and I stayed here on the way back home from vacation and I used the opportunity to ease myself back in at work. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but what I really liked was the layout with the large open space combining the lobby, cafe and other seating areas. I found it very comfortable for conducting business while leaving the room to my better half to relax and not have to remain silent.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Hallways and common areas are sweltering. Lobby is on the 5th floor so you can't drop off luggage and park if traveling alone. Room faced an interior courtyard and was so dark. No outlets in bathroom. AC is noisy. Shower had rust. The room was inexpensive, and I used points to stay. I would not stay here again. Staff were friendly.
Fraud by staff

Beware of fraud by management. They use deception and misinformation. Carefully go over your final bill. I was double charged for the pet fee and parking then treated poorly and hung up on when I called to inquire. The pet policy states $50 “per stay” and Max(manager- in theory) told me it is “per night”. Then he told me my vehicle was detected in the parking garage for 2 nights when in fact it was parked in a separate lot. These practices are borderline criminal and should be investigated by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.

Would also like to mention - Jordan. Part of the Front Office team and welcomed me immediately when I got off the elevator and arrived. He stayed in constant contact with myself and my guest during the duration of our stay. Extremely impressed I was on a first name basis the entire time with several With Jordan and his attention to detail at arrival. Remained in constant contact with me.

A Supportive Stay for a High-Stakes Weekend

I stayed at EVEN Hotels for Nationals, and overall, it was a great fit for what I needed—clean, wellness-focused, and calming amid a busy competition weekend. I especially appreciated the fitness-friendly environment and quiet, modern design of the rooms.
There were a few standout moments during my stay. One staff member helped me find Target when I was completely turned around—I thought it was accessible from inside the hotel since it’s technically in the basement, but she kindly explained the route. I didn’t catch her name, but her kindness made an impact.
There was one issue with loud music from a neighboring room in the evening, but when I called the front desk, they handled it quickly and respectfully. That responsiveness really mattered.
My main suggestion: please offer complimentary coffee. At $6 a cup, it felt off-brand for a hotel that emphasizes wellness and routine. Even a self-serve station would make a big difference.
That said, I would definitely stay here again. The atmosphere supported both rest and focus—exactly what I needed that weekend.

The property feels a bit dated, but the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. A major downside was the breakfast—very limited variety and no cappuccino available, which was disappointing. The location is decent, but reaching the room required quite a long walk, which was inconvenient. Overall, an average experience with a few key areas for improvement.

As an IHG member, I usually stay in Holiday Inn Express properties. This was my first time in an EVEN hotel. The property is amazing - wonderful location, super quiet and night, with great amenities. I enjoyed a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park, a short walk from the hotel, and other downtown experiences without having to worry about transportation. I had a lovely cocktail at the bar and enjoyed breakfast in the hotel. Everything was clean and good order, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of parking options nearby. I definitely would stay here again.
