If your on a tight budget, boy is this the place for you. Your neighbors will act like it too. Not only will they not have an appropriate room type they lie about accommodating you. It's a game for the staff and the owner/manager was the person doing all the damage.

This is our first experience at an Avid hotel property. Its a good value offering but more basic from other lower price IHG properties like Holiday Inn. The construction quality is understandable for making the hotel more affordable but better insulation between the walls is still something they need to work on. We had a family with young children next door and it sounded like they were in the same room.

Positive:
- Most staff are friendly and positive
- Newer hotel
- Good price
Negative:
- The lobby area and elevator are not always cleaned in a timely manner
- This may just be coincidental but during my 6-day stay, there were two events involving other customers that significantly disturbed my stay.

After 35 days at this Avid property, my wife and I are now looking for more Avid properties. The entire staff spoiled us and the manager, Nidhi P. is just the most Customer focused hospitality professional I have come across in a decade. She exudes confidence and is very knowledgeable and just a lovely person!

Pleasurable stay

A spacious, clean, comfortable room. I chose the mobility room that was available, so we felt more secure stepping in and out of the bath tub shower combo.
There was no carpet on the floor which made the room feel more sanitary.
Also, the beds and pillows were comfortable.

Nice hotel in Plano, just off HWY 75. Simple room with good beds, charging points and a huge screen with casting capabilities. Shower water pressure and WiFi speed could be better.

This is a newer IHG hotel so I decided to try it. Customer service at this hotel from Front Desk(All Shifts) to the housekeeping staff were Excellent.The breakfast was good and had a variety of food.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Avid Hotel Plano North. With it being a new hotel, it reassured our want for a clean place to stay. The place was spotless. The staff were exceptionally kind and informative. The location was perfectly in-between the places we wanted to visit. This helped us stay in budget and allowed us to afford to do all the other activities we had planned. If I had to state one con, it would be the insulation in the walls being thin, making it easy to hear stomping and voices. However, I consider that consistent with any hotel/apartment environment. Even with that minor detail, anytime we come back to Texas, this will be our first pick!

Reservation made well in advance. Request as to room location not honored. Diamond Status not recognized. House keeping skipped over room & when the room was serviced is was only partially done.
