Warm hospitality and a clean, modern resort

The resort is very clean and feels new, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. All staff were friendly, professional, and always smiling, which created a welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to Ms. Sukma at check-out for her professionalism and helpfulness. Shuttle and private transfers were punctual and convenient. The only area for improvement would be the In-Room Dining menu, which had limited choices and inconsistent portion sizes. Overall, a great stay and I look forward to returning.

The place was new and super kids friendly. Love the landscape and layout of the resort.
The kids had loads of fun.
Food was amazing, the chef cook really well.
However, service at the restaurant was slow. May need to reconsider manpower allocation, especially during peak travel dates.

My wife and I would like to give our utmost compliments to the team at Holiday Inn Bintan, especially Yudi, Agus, and Baim. Our son had an accident (all is well now), and the team worked tirelessly to make sure we got the help we needed. Although conditions were not ideal, they did their best to make things work. Yudi especially, managed to work with our travel insurance to help organize the evacuation.
While we did not get to enjoy our stay in the resort due to the accident (which was no fault of the resort), we would love to return some day and would highly recommend anyone looking for a place to enjoy a holiday in Bintan.
I wish it could be better.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Bintan Resort and were looking forward to enjoying the Family Suite at Room 1150. Overall, we loved the resort, especially the pool activities, which were a highlight for the kids. However, we do wish there were more dining options instead of just a single restaurant.
Unfortunately, a few issues made our stay less enjoyable:
1. Dirty clothes were found in the drawer in the kids’ section of the room.
2. The TV had a visible line, likely from previous damage, which affected the kids’ experience. Despite informing the staff, no action was taken.
3. The toilet door was difficult to close. We reported it, but no rectification was made.
4. There was a noticeable stain on the bedsheets of the kids’ bunk bed.
These points detracted from what could have been a wonderful family holiday.

Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Breakfast buffet was excellent although the crowd was massive. Might need to consider expanding the area and increasing staff strength. Staff were all very friendly and would greet me when I walked past. They would also strike conversations around the pool. Housekeeping was quick and good as well.

I booked 4 rooms for my extended family in June 2025 and it was a fantastic stay. The service was impeccable. From the start, we did not expect to be received warmly at the ferry terminal with a free shuttle to the resort. The counter staff were attentive and we were very pleased to be given all rooms on the same level with specifications as requested. The resort was beautiful and the kids' facilities and activities were excellent.
The restaurant staff at Warong Pak Lagoi were also excellent, always serving us with a smile. In particular I would like to highlight Yardi from Warong Pak Lagoi, who was very attentive to the needs of my son who has life-threatening food allergies. It also happened to be my son's birthday on one of the days we were there - Yardi and his staff prepared a special dish for him and had a surprise birthday song. Natalia also ensured that my son had a special dish when we had dinner there. I am truly grateful for the service we received from them and their staff.
I would also like to commend Dimas and his colleagues at the reception counter for going the extra mile to provide great service.

From the moment we arrived at Bintan, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Special thanks to Nuraini, the ferry coordinator, who welcomed us with grace and ensured a smooth transfer for all hotel guests to their shuttle transport. She also prepared our return ferry boarding passes in advance , a thoughtful touch that added ease to our journey. At the ferry terminal, a comfortable waiting lounge with refreshments made the transition seamless.
Upon arrival at the hotel lobby, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk team. A big thank you to Windy, Sukma, and Shiddiq for assisting with our check-in and ensuring our rooms were ready and perfect. The rooms themselves were spacious, clean, and refreshing, offering a stunning high-floor view of the pool and pond, a true highlight of the property.
Dining was a standout throughout our stay. There are plenty of choices within the compound, but Warung Pak’s Saturday seafood BBQ buffet deserves a special mention. It was out of this world!, from BBQ crayfish, prawns, squid, and beef, all freshly grilled to perfection, to the unforgettable nut cheesecake (the best I’ve had in 2025!) and the creamy cempedak mango dessert. Hats off to Nadia, Paulus, and the team for the incredible job!
Breakfast offered a wide selection of international and local dishes, with a dedicated section for kids was a thoughtful and family-friendly touch.
At Sugarbeats, we enjoyed both lunch and dinner with a lovely seaside view. Even the room service came from this restaurant which was a convenient and efficient arrangement. Delivery was quick, and the food consistently delicious. Many thanks to Eki, Jaidup, Genny, and Suryadi for the excellent service!
The hotel facilities are outstanding. Multiple pools for all ages, complete with floating loungers to relax and drift your worries away. The kids club is one of the best I’ve seen among international IHG properties, it was safe, clean, well-equipped, and staffed by genuinely caring professionals. An additional 24/7 recreation room offered fun activities for guests of all ages.
Don’t miss the beach within the hotel grounds. The sunsets were breathtaking, and during low tide, we had the chance to walk along the crystal-clear shoreline and discover sea creatures, indeed a magical and unforgettable experience.
The property is extensive, shared between Holiday Inn and Hotel Indigo, offering shared facilities and a seamless guest experience. Getting around was easy thanks to buggies and bicycles. Kudos to Ranty, whose buggy service was always punctual and efficient.
Shoutout to Ranty, Adi, and Kukah from the Guest Service Centre for their prompt and helpful responses to our inquiries. CRM Munir,Sibarani and Ifani were excellent in following up on our booking even before we arrived.
A very special mention to GRM Nunu, whose hospitality and attention to detail throughout our stay was exceptional. From arrival to checkout, she ensured everything was perfectly taken care of.
Lastly, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to RM Mr. Yudi for his personal welcome at the lobby. We shared laughter and meaningful conversations, which made my stay even more special. Thank you, Mr. Yudi, for such a warm and thoughtful arrangement.
And to General Manager Michael Beechey, your leadership and commitment to excellence truly shine through every member of your incredible team. You’ve made this stay not just enjoyable, but truly unforgettable.

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Resort! The pool access room was a big hit with the kids — they absolutely loved it. The food was fantastic and delicious throughout our stay. We really appreciated the great amenities offered, especially the Resort Centre and the option to ride bicycles around the resort, which was such a fun and relaxing way to explore the area.
The kids also enjoyed the Mangrove playground activities, and the private white sandy beach was perfect — safe, clean, and ideal for young children to play. Our room was both spacious and cozy, making it a comfortable retreat after a full day of activities.
A special thanks to the friendly and helpful staff who made our stay even better — Galang from the reception, Dodi from Strawbella, and Aini from Ginger Root were all exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.
Thank you for the amazing hospitality — we’ll definitely be back!
