Great Hotel, Amazing Location

We were a family of four. We booked two rooms. The hotel is perfectly located 100 feet from the metro. There is a convenience store in the hotel where you buy the TMoney card to ride public transit. We used the subway for almost all our transit. It’s super convenient and easy from the Voco. The hotel is also great. It’s very well maintained. We will stay again.
Convenient hotel in Myeongdong

Hotel is located very close to myeongdong and has airport buses in front of the hotel. Room is reasonably sized and bedding is good. However, the bathroom is bathtub shower combo, with a shower curtain, which I personally do not like about. Nevertheless, the hotel staffs are really nice and friendly during my staff here. I would recommend to my friends.

Location is right near Namdaemun Market, couple of blocks from Myeongdong. Very convenient location for site seeing and tourists. Staff members were helpful and recognized my status as a Diamond member. They offered late checkout and also my welcome amenity. Would stay again soon.

Gave it four starts only for great location and good size rooms. Being an IHG Platinum member doesn't seem to matter for the Voco or IHG. Even though we had club access, it only allows for 2 people per room which was frustrating considering we were a family of 6. We reserved 2 rooms and contacted the hotel weeks in advance to our rooms close to each other, although on the same floor, the rooms were the furtherest from each other., and no upgrade to at least club floor/access for the other room. One of the rooms were missing/burnt out light bulb but was quickly remediated. And housekeeping staff was nice.

Great staff great club lounge. I will definitely be back. Mr. Han from the manager from the front desk is awesome. He fixed my computer when it was having issues and gave great recomendations on where to visit. Amy from the lounge was great too

I recently stayed at voco Seoul Myeongdong, and I had a great experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely unbeatable—just a short walk to Myeongdong shopping street, Namdaemun Market, and Hoehyeon Station. Even the airport limousine bus stop was conveniently close, which made getting in and out super easy.
The room was modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for a city hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like eco-friendly amenities and a water purifier in the room. I was also lucky to get a room with a view of TV Tower, which looked especially nice lit up at night.
Breakfast was excellent, with a nice mix of Korean and Western options. Not much vegan options. Everything was fresh and well presented.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help—whether it was assisting with directions, handling a small room request, or just greeting me with a smile every day.
If I had to mention anything that could be improved, I’d say the temperature control in the room was a little tricky at times—but it wasn’t a major issue. Everything else more than made up for it.
Overall, I’d absolutely recommend voco Myeongdong to anyone visiting Seoul. It’s stylish, comfortable, and in one of the best spots in the city. I’d gladly stay here again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the VOCO hotel during our visit to Seoul. The hotel is in a great location—conveniently close to everything, yet tucked away on a quiet street. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean. The beds were especially comfortable!
I accidentally made a double booking and wasn’t able to cancel one of them. Fortunately, Olivia Lee at the reception went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue. I also had additional nights booked separately, and once Olivia noticed this, she proactively arranged everything so I could stay in the same room for the entire duration—without the hassle of checking out and checking back in.
She was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. We truly appreciated her support—Olivia made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Olivia!

8. 그러나 25년 6월 27일까지 69,000원에 대한 환불이 되지 않았습니다.
9. 그래서 본인은 나이스파크와 보코 명동에 전화하여 환불처리를 요구하였으나 25년 7월 4일 현재까지도 환불처리가 되지 않고 있습니다.
10. 본인의 실수로 오결제한 것을 인정하지만 귀사는 30일이 넘은 지금까지 환불이 되지 않은 점은 과실을 인정해야 한다고 생각합니다.
게다가 나이스파크는 주차장 운영 대리인이지 운영을 위임한 건 보코 명동이므로
최종적 관리 책임은 보코 명동에 있다고 생각합니다.
11. 보코 명동 측은
1) 본인이 오결제한 69,000원에 대한 빠른 환불
2) 본인이 아직 결제하지 못한 11,000원을 지불할 수 있는 나이스파크 계좌번호

I’m an American living in Seoul.
I visited Voco Seoul Myeongdonng for a weekend staycation and had an amazing experience.
From the start, Mr. Daniel K. was extremely friendly and professional at check in. He immediately recognized my Platinum Elite status and explained to me all the benefits I would be getting at the hotel. I really appreciate the early check in at 2P.M, room upgrade and late check out! At other hotels, I sometimes have to ask first or even haggle for it, but at Voco Seoul Myeongdong it was offered to me from the beginning which truly made me feel welcomed as a loyal IHG member.
I got upgraded to a suite on the 15th floor and it was very nice.
It was clean and had a great view.
It was equipped with a smart tv with Netflix and Youtube(have to log in to your own accounts)
It was clean and had no smell. (No good smell or bad smell)
The bed was also extremely comfortable.
The only downfall was the lack of outlets by the beds.
Location was great. It’s right outside of exit 3 of the subway station. I like walking, so we took a nice walk to Shinsegae Department store and the main Myeongdong area in the day time before happy hour, then we took a walk in the opposite direction to Seoullo 7017 after happy hour at night. Both were very pleasant!
It’s right in the middle of Seoul so it is a very ideal location for tourists visiting Seoul!
The Club Lounge was the highlight of my stay.
I went right after checking in for some coffee and I really enjoyed the light Korean snacks and cookies set out for guests.
Happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 was incredible. The food and alcohol selection was great and the beautiful Namsan tower view was the cherry on top!
I was very impressed with the ladies working in the club lounge. It was very busy but they were fast to seat guests, clear tables and keep everything stocked in the buffet all with a friendly smile on their faces.
Breakfast in the lounge was also so delicious. I could not be more satisfied with the food quality and service in the lounge! 10/10!
Overall, it was an excellent experience and I recommend it to all those who are visiting Seoul for a trip or just looking for a nice little weekend staycation.
I’ll definitely be back soon!
disappointing experience

A disappointing experience, especially for families with special needs.
We had high hopes for our stay at Voco Myeongdong, but unfortunately our experience left us deeply disappointed, especially because of how an employee handled a situation with our son.
While sitting quietly at 52 Market Street, our autistic son was playing calmly with his reusable stickers — designed specifically not to stick or damage surfaces (similar to placing a piece of paper on a table). Despite this, an employee/manager approached us and treated the situation as if serious damage was being done. We immediately apologized and explained that the stickers were safe, even demonstrating that no damage was done. Instead of listening, she kept repeating “please stop” multiple times, dismissing our explanation entirely. It felt dismissive and lacking the understanding we hoped for, especially considering our child’s special needs. While she did call us later to apologize after we brought the issue to the front desk, the interaction left us quite disheartened. We understand there may have been a language barrier, but in a hospitality role — particularly one that often deals with international guests — having the ability to approach situations with patience and sensitivity is essential.
In addition, we experienced a few other challenges during our stay:
• Upon arrival, our bathroom had a strong foul odor — we thought it was the shower curtain, which was replaced, but the smell persisted. We eventually discovered it was coming from the floor and had to wipe it ourselves with Clorox wipes we brought from home.
• On our second day, our son injured his eyelid from the hotel window. The front desk kindly helped us get a cab to a nearby hospital at 6:30am. Sadly, once we arrived, we were told no doctor was available to do stitches — something we wish the hotel had checked in advance before sending us out. We were then sent to another hospital nearby (in heavy rain) only to find again that no doctor was available. Eventually we found help at a third location after hours of navigating an unfamiliar area with a bleeding child. While we appreciate all the help from front desk and assisting with ice packs for our son’s medication, it would have been extremely helpful if staff had confirmed the hospital availability before sending us out in such a stressful situation.
• Housekeeping staff were generally friendly, but we observed unsanitary practices: the housekeeper wore the same gloves while taking out garbage and then touched the bottled water and coffee table without changing gloves. We had to disinfect the area after.
• Hotel wifi was on and off, good thing we rented our own pocket wifi.
We understand no hotel is perfect, but respect and empathy — especially towards children and guests with special needs — are very important for us.
We truly believe Voco Myeongdong has potential, and there were moments of helpful service, but our experience suggests a need for better training in handling special situations, especially involving children and guests with specific needs. We hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the guest experience for others.
