I have to say I'm quite disappointed with my stay here. When I arrived, the room was not outfitted with the appropriate amenities for the amount of guests in the room, and had to go to front desk to bring what was missing up myself. Water temperature and pressure are a BIG problem at this facility, especially during the AM, when you need it the most. Front desks answer: Yes, we know, and it's going to be fixed, but can't tell you when. HUH?
Also, was not aware at time of booking that this facility doesn't offer housekeeping services unless you stay for 7 or more days, and then service is only 1x/week. Again, HUH? Had I known this, I would have never booked here. Day staff are very friendly. Night staff are off talking with other staff and not at their post - experienced this the whole stay. Finally, outside lobby it smells of cigarettes, and common areas could be kept cleaner(try changing mop water more frequently - when staff cleaned floor in elevator it smelled of sour mop water).
If all Candlewood Suites are run this way, I will be avoiding this IHG brand.

Staying at this hotel was great. They get a 10/10 from me. We have stated this hotel before and always great service, spacious rooms and a friendly environment. The staff here are excellent and very knowledgeable of prices and recognize you for being an IHG member.
Enjoyable stay for the most part

The stay was enjoyable for the most part. I really enjoyed the space and convenience of having a door to the bedroom area. Also, liked seeing that there was a kitchenette area and dinning area. Did not expect two televisions either! But what I didn’t like was that the air quality was not the best. I suffer from allergies, mold and dust mites particularly & could not stop sneezing, my partner suffers from asthma and ended up wheeezing himself awake in the middle of the night. The only thing I found the help was to take a shower which helped for a while but after being in the bathroom for so long with a dusty air vent in the ceiling, I wasn’t doing anything but agitating my sinuses & apparently the dust in the vents. I attempted to spat at Lysol in hopes that nothing would cause us to not feel our best. Once we checked out of the room,We soon realized it was something within the room.

I had stayed at another Candlewood recently and had a great experience, so I booked another night in Richmond. I love that this property is pet friendly. My dog and I looked forward to a comfortable stay. The kitchen in our room made it easy to prepare her dinner. I prefer to eat my own food, and value the refrigerator and microwave. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. The shower curtain was dirty, and the bedding and towels were stained. Some elements of the room needed refreshing: the only chair was very uncomfortable in a worn-out way. Someone had rubbed graffiti into the stainless steel refrigerator. And lastly, the TV remote was absolutely filthy.

We think it was a nice cozy room. We'll book again in the future. The cons were the room stayed cold cause the heater didn't want to work. We had it set to 72° but it stayed 65°. We bumped it to 77° but it stayed at 68°. The water was not hot and it started turning off after 10-15 min of showering. The bowls still had Mac n cheese crust on them so I had to wash those and the forks. There was no regular coffee the entire time from the time we came and until the day we left. One of the sheets looked dirty. Breakfast and food options are not complimentary and overpriced. Location is convenient and there are surrounding restaurants, shopping areas, and it's right off the interstate.

This was the best night in a motel for a long time. The room was clean and smelled fresh The bed was perfect and the showerhead gave great water supply pressure not all misty like some motels. The kitchen had everything I needed and I loved the big fridge and making tea in my room on the stove top. Very lovely and restful environment and I like being able to control the temperature of my room.

Once I got there I felt very welcome. For the first time in a while I was acknowledged about being a platinum member. Staff was great, room was great, this location is great!
Great Customer service/Terrible facility-Do not book here.

This location need a complete overhaul along with an inspection of each individual room. Out of 4 rooms none was 100% up to standard. Each one with issue(s) that had to be known by Management and/or housekeeping. The bed in Room 115 was very uncomfortable because it was pretty hard. Customer Service was excellent but it doesn't help when the rooms are not up to standard and need to be updated.
Decent, Pet Friendly, and Conveniently Located

I've stayed at this hotel twice and the first visit was better than the first. The fact that they offer relatively sized suites at an affordable price, are conveniently located (near highways and local businesses/restaurants) and are pet friendly are the initial draw. Please be sure to thoroughly inspect your room before you get comfortable to be sure you have everything you need. Also, make sure to document EVERYTHING and take pictures if you have any issues.

Poor quality with staff. They were clearly not trained to be customer-driven.
Disgusting lobby Women's room. Not toilet paper, overflowing trash, unclean floor, and surfaces.
Coffee area: out of creamer – when asked the reply was, "We must be out". I later found a box of creamer in the cabinets when I read that reply as possible laziness/incompetence.
Staff on personal phone- front desk and security behind the desk making it difficult to ask for help. These workers were not invested in their job and had no interest being helpful.
Room: hardware falling off of bathroom walls, holders, etc. Stained, old blanket for pull-out. I asked for a comforter for this bed and happily received one (instead of a thin, inadequate old blanket).
When the front desk was called to ask for a comforter, the worker was unable to deliver to the room stating, "I'm the only one here, sorry".
Parking: limited spaces in the front. Back of hotel was not welcoming or "safe" feeling for this to be a night time entrance.
No attention to detail in the room or common areas. Carpet: needs to be replaced.
VERY unwelcoming experience. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Several unauthorized charges were made on our room from the Candlewood Cupboard. Fortunately, I requested a receipt upon checkout and the staff member quickly reversed the charges.
The bathroom was not fully cleaned. I was exhausted and wanted to rest without interruption and just cleaned it myself instead of asking for staff to properly clean it.
There was a key-card shortage and the staff declined to provide us with more than one card, even though there were 3 adults in the room.

The hotel was nice , the staff was nice and let us lay check out (members only ) the room was very clean and meet my standards due to the price . I have no complaints and can’t wait to visit my family again , I will be booking candles wood again.
