Never Heard of this Hotel But Will be Looking for it in the Future

While looking for a hotel for the night, Avid was listed on the Trivago website. I had never heard of this chain but took a chance based on the reviews posted. I will be looking for them in the future.

I would recommend everything about this motel, except for the noise. It was just because of a bad placement of a room, which I requested quiet.it was very clean and well supplied to decent degree of satisfaction.

Avid hotel in Fort Payne is a nice place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is a great value also. We were very pleased with this hotel for our overnight stay on our way home from vacation.

I have stayed in many, MANY hotels and lodging facilities throughout my military career; some were luxury, some were nice, some were nasty...this one was one of the absolute best. I rarely can sleep the first night; but here, I fell asleep almost instantly. Very comfortable beds. My wife is a clean freak...almost borderline "germ-a-phobic" and she was impressed by the cleanliness. Now THAT'S saying something! Very good stay and I told the management the next day that I intend on staying there (Ft. Payne, AL location) again.

Nice and Clean

Everything was great except that we could hear the people in the room next to us. They were not very loud but the walls are so thin you can not help but hear.
The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The design of bathroom shower is not convenient. There is no place for your personal toiletries.
The air conditioner temperature was not very adjustable. It was stuffy.

Our stay was excellent!! The staff at the front desk were all pleasantly friendly, the room was clean and well organized, breakfast was quick and easy, all in all, it was a great stop on our way home.

Comfortable bed and great staff!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here. I opted for Avid because Candlewood was booked for all King rooms. The staff were amazing and the rooms were plenty big enough for my business trip. Wifi did not lag and I was on my laptop the whole trip. The shower was amazing and the water stayed hot the whole time. I would recommend a solo traveler to take advantage of these rooms instead of Candlewood which is in the same building because you have all of the amenities you would there, the only difference is a few SqFt.

I stayed here because of the convenience to the location that I was visiting. This place is new, clean and great for everything that I was looking for. Breakfast was edible and several different food items to choose from. Hot coffee 24/7 was awesome. Location is awesome.
Loved it all and will stay again when in the area.

We were only there for one night but it was perfect for a quick stop halfway to Tennessee! Except I got woke up at 5 am from someone running back and forth across the room above us after going to bed late due to us getting there so late as well.. other than that it was superb!

Thin walls

This is my second time staying here. The workmanship on the building is very poor. Looks like a kid did it. The sheetrock in the room was damaged and not fixed. The room walls are paper thin. I mean you can hear every single thing. The heating unit made a terrible noise all night in room 103. We heard every door slam and everyone above us and it sounded like a bomb going off at times. So get you a good loud fan and you should be fine. The staff is wonderful and the room was clean.

It’s 18 minutes from a lot of fun things to do great restaurants to eat at
Lots of natural parks to visit
Not far from the collinsville flea market
Lots of waterfalls to check out an hiking trails
