This Hotel, is so convenient due to the location and amenities surrounding it. I would gladly recommend the property to anyone wanting to visit Disney world.

Mixed feelings - will stay again

Generally, I feel strongly about a property. I am up in the air about this one. There were some great aspects and some terrible parts.

GOOD: 1) Location, location, location...for Disney, 2) Reward Night availability, 3) fun, nightlife, pool, food/bar, etc., 4) status recognition, 5) room felt like it had been updated within past 5 years.

BAD: 1) room carpet was filthy, 2) shower design caused water on floor, 3) not enough towels, 4) no COFFEE
We will consider this hotel again, even though there were pros and cons.

A Great Disney Value Stay

My family and I had a great and memorable week while staying at the Kissimmee Resort. We occupied three rooms while there. For a week-long stay, you'll save hundreds of dollars.

Standout Items
- Great Disney location. It's 10 minutes to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. It's 15 minutes to Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. It's closer to the parks than many of the Disney Resorts.
- Close to relevant vacation stores - HWY 530 is a prominent retail boulevard with every conceivable vacation business you can think of, restaurants of every type, gas stations, drug stores, liquor stores, and much more. All are within a 2 to 10 minute drive.
- Great staff - All the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. We were there 6 days, so we got to meet staff across the hotel
- The hotel is spotless. Our rooms were immaculate. The lobby and other public spaces also.
- The rooms were comfortable. We slept well in the beds. The rooms were clean with all the amenities one expects in a Holiday Inn.
- Free parking

Cons
- The property is an older one but is not weary and is very well maintained.

My family's week long trip

My family and I stayed here for a week for our first Disney trip. Before booking I called to get a couple questions answered about shuttles and if breakfast was included or not. The person I talked to was rude and unhelpful. I was left with more questions than answers. For those wondering they do not provide airport shuttles and the breakfast buffet is not free or included in the price of the room, it's $19. They do provide shuttles for the Disney parks, Sea world and Universal but they only comes once or twice a day and need to be reserved ahead of time but they are free. We got three rooms with double beds. The rooms were spacious and clean. The air conditioning system worked and the shower was hot with great water pressure. We had problems with our key cards not working and the door's sensor not working. One of our rooms the phone did not work unless you held the cord a certain way and housekeeping kept forgetting to give us face cloths or washcloths after they would take to old ones. The ice machine on our floor was not working and we had to go to another floor to get ice. The breakfast service was amazing and the staff were very helpful. My parents loved the pool and the bartenders Hazel and Lisbeth. My brother enjoyed the food and sisters liked the arcade. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't exclusively just going to the Disney parks. If you are there for work or exploring other parts of Orlando then this is the perfect hotel. If you are going for Disney World then stay at one of their cheaper resort hotels to get more out of your experience. Overall would give them 3.5 of 5 stars.

Attending convention onsite

Requested a room near convention hall which was not honored. When checking in was told all the rooms were booked by a group of teams who were attending an event away from the hotel while a lot of the in hotel convention were checked into rooms far away from the convention hall. When entered the room, there were several of small pieces of paper scattered around the floor while the rest of the room was clean. When using the shower/bathtub had to be careful as slipped multiple times while wet with no hand holds present.

Great location and value overall. The amount of food/drink options made it seem appealing to everyone, we enjoyed the breakfast, which was enhanced by the great dining staff each morning. The proximity to disney parks and cost make this resort a great value. Never seemed too busy, very quiet hallways and common areas.

Giving it a 5 star because what mattered was perfect , clean room, fresh towels everything day, 24 hr quick shop , 10-13 min from every Disney park , overall solid stay , what I will say tho…is the staff are just rude , I don’t know if it’s because I was used to the Disney staff being all jolly , but the overnight shop worker and the lady at the front desk where just rude , attitude to the lowest , but other then that , I would stay here again

Liked amenities: pool, kid zone, places to eat, coffee shop. Hotel rooms were clean, ambience is nice, pool area is very nice, towels were promptly stocked in my room and replaced. Staff was helpful and promptly took care of any requests.

Some false advertising: the view of fireworks is only from certain rooms (not for all in the hotel). I was looking forward to this so my little one could be at the hotel after the park but still see fireworks. Asked for a crib on my reservation but none were available. I thought free breakfast was available but it is not free. Lastly, I believe I was overcharged at the hotel bar/lounge for what I ordered. I was not provided an itemized receipt though.

There are likely similarly priced hotels in the vicinity that are of better quality. This location is not a new property, it is a building that was previously a lower quality hotel chain that IHG bought and rebranded. It appears they tried to give it a facelift, but be warned it's still an older building that got some new carpet and wallpaper.

We stayed here for 3 nights and used the location as a jumping off point for our 3 day trips into Disney. Upon checking in we found numerous small ants crawling all over the bathroom walls and countertop. I reported this to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. The front desk staff member said they noted this in the computer system and someone should reach out to me. After 3 days, no one tried to contact me, so either the front desk neglected to pass the message along, or the manager didn't care to respond. I've travelled the world globally for work and been exposed to some questionable lodgings so was willing to work with the situation by leaving nothing on the counter. Try telling that to my wife who was thoroughly grossed out by the thought of insects crawling over toiletries that she may put down on the counter while using them.

There are so many hotels in near proximity to the Disney parks that I definitely would look elsewhere if we were to return again.
