Great 5-*S*T*A*R* hotel in a great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish — from Steven’s warm welcome and helpful recommendations to Ms. Tee’s friendly breakfast service and Qynette’s attentive assistance at checkout. We appreciated the cleanliness, scenic views, complimentary coffee and tea station, wide selection of breakfast options and the overall hospitality of the staff.
We plan to return to the Avid Lancaster location and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Hotel in good location, modern, comfortable, and has EV charging stations.
Staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is delicious with numerous choices.
Had a chance to teach a staffer how to play golf, an easy card game.

Had a nice stay, clean, comfortable beds.
Breakfast was good and the super nice lady that oversaw the breakfast area was exceptional! (I did not catch her name....I think it started with Tan...? She was there 9/22, 9/23, 9/26) She was friendly, professional, took pride in her work and the area. Made customers feel glad to be there. Caleb at the front desk was also great, friendly, helpful, professional and super nice to visit with. All staff was good!

My sister and i stay here every year. The customer is amazing. If it’s mot right they’ll make it right if they can. One lady that does the morning breakfast is do nice and cleaning up after everyone with a positive smile and welcome to everyone. It’s a shout out yo Tee. Thank you to all you in making our vacation even nicer.
No Microwave in room

For the price they charge, there should be a microwave in every room. The room could have been cleaner. The breakfast area bigger with more than basically a continental breakfast. If you needed a microwave, you had to go to breakfast area. Only Ice machine was on first floor.
Not a good value

With IHG you have dynamic pricing. Avid hotels are supposed to be the ‘value’ hotel chain, but for the night we stayed (Friday night) we paid a premium price, making our stay not worth it at all. The hotel is newer so the condition is still very good. However we thought the room darkening shade was broken - turns out it didn’t even have one. Noise level from inside the hotel was excellent, but noise from the road was loud constantly over night. I believe the gentleman working the front desk may have been new, but I wasn’t greeted at all or given any instruction on amenities, breakfast or where to even find the elevator. If you want to be in a central location to things to do in Lancaster this is a great spot, but there are even better hotels a block or two away.
Charged card twice for the stay - not refunded yet

We were overcharged for the hotel room and tried calling for days and no one will answer the phone. We called and called. It's very frustrating. They over charged us $150.00. Also, the walls are pretty thin. We heard people shutting doors and walking the entire time we were there. The front desk guy named Caleb was the best thing about the stay he was super nice

First time here. Beautiful clean hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had several selections. Food was fresh and presentation was good.

We were extremely pleased with the service and the hotel's condition and the ambiance and the staff. We would use this hotel--This chain--if all of them were like the one in Lancaster.
Best hotel we have been too in a long time.

This place is great, they treat you as a guest and not a number like a lot of other hotel franchises do.
Great service, amenities were great wasn’t too keen on the big bottles of soap. But other than that it’s one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time.
