Terrible experience

Check in seemed easy. Room was filthy, pee stain on the sheets that we couldn’t sleep on till the next day after I asked cleaning crew for a clean set of sheets. Buildup and mold on the shower door. It was so disgusting I got sick to my stomach. The AC made an aweful noise, all night and all day. Had to have tv louder than normal since AC made such a disturbing noise. Breakfast was minimal, we had to wait on food two of the days, wasn’t very prompt. Washer and dryer were out of order the entire stay, so we had to go the nearest laundromat. That was definitely an inconvenience. The ice machine was also out of order. We had to get ice at the corner store at $3.00 a bag, with a total of $36 in ice purchases to keep out items cold. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel location or Avid in general. I am a member of IHG and I have never experienced any of this at any other hotel with the IHG company. The young lady at check out asked me how was my stay and I mentioned the issues above, her response was I can add 1,000 point to your account. FYI 1,000 point equal to and very close to $13. Which I was never honored. But I didn’t want the 1,000 points. I would have wanted my time spent in the hotel back. That isn’t very possible but I would never ask anyone to stay here. Not a good experience.

Love staying at this hotel, always friendly Employees and the hotel is so clean. Rooms are clean. So quiet.

Comfortable bed and very quiet place to rest

The good:
This hotel was very clean and felt new on every aspect. Bed was quite comfortable and external noises were almost null.

Not so good:
This minimalistic trend is a hassle, no drawers to store our clothes, just a few hangers. Housekeeping never happened during our 5-day stay. They knocked our door very early in the morning, we asked them to return later and never came back.

The breakfast service wasn't good. They put short quantities of food on serving trays and they take a lot of time to refill them. Sometimes they didn't have plates or forks available although there were few guests.

We were a group of 13 rooms and the staff handled everything like a pro. They had everything ready for us when we arrived making the check-in process as EASY as Possible.

Given a dirty room but they promised to make it right

The first room I was given was dirty and humid. Pillows and blanket were not on the bed like house keeping did not finish cleaning the room. Stains were on the floor. Food was in the refrigerator and a half gallon of milk. There was a dirty towel presented as clean. If there is any sort of stain on your towels please just throw them away. There was also what looked like pube shavings on the soap dish in the shower. And both showers I had had stains in the shower floor. I had never seen this at this chain before. They moved me to another room which seemed to be cleaned by house keeping. It was better more comfortable. They promised me a significant amount of points for the inconvenience but those have not shown up in my account yet. I will be calling to follow up soon if I don’t see them.
