We would definetly recommend Avid to friends and family after a bad experience with two other hotels we stayed at on out trip. Avid was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Look forward to staying at one of these hotels again.

NICE LOCATION.VERY CLEAN.HAVE MOST ALL NEEDS UNLESS YOU GO OUT FOR DINNER.BUT THOSE NEEDS VERY CLOSE TOO.THE SNACK TEA COFFEE AREA STUNNING.WISH THEY ALLOWED LONGER STAYS.PARKING LIGHTING VERY NICE.I GIVE IT A+

Stayed 2 nights Fri & Sat, this was our 2nd time. AVID is about 30 mins drive to Blacksburg. Hotel appears to be a newer property, it is clean and easily accessible from I-81, breakfast is overall good (slightly lower in comparison to Hampton Inn). Plenty of parking, staff is nice and welcoming. Loved the bed - slept well, A/C was a bid loud whenever it started on.

New and clean. Friendly staff.

We arrived and check-in was super easy. Hotel is new and everything is super nice. Would highly recommend this place if you ever in the Roanoke Salem area

I stayed at Avid Hotel in Salem for 3 weeks during a difficult time when my father was dying so I could be nearby. I also worked from the hotel during that time. The hotel did a fabulous job making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They were professional, kind, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable. The staff thoroughly cleaned regularly and it was spotless. The gym was also very nice and had everything I needed including a treadmill, elliptical, bike, mats, various weights and bands. The breakfast was always fresh and tasty. The coffee and tea bar is available 24-hours. The bed was very comfortable which was welcome during this time. Everyone was truly wonderful but a special thanks to Chris, Angie, Jess, Nevaeh, Mita, Bri, Jignesh, and Karisma. I'll be back next time I am in Salem.

This property was perfect for what we needed. We were traveling with our little dog and the staff at the front desk even greeted him. The property was clean and the outdoor seating areas are a great idea!

No glass in room

Clean, convenient, friendly. This would have been a 5 star except for one small detail. I’ve had a few stays now at Avid hotels. I’m getting used to no coffee in the room but couldn’t there at least be a plastic glass. Many people need to take medication and being able to get a glass of water would be nice.

My family and I were out of town travelers. we journeyed for 5-6hrs . we requested early check in on the day of arrival. Tammy was so accommodating. she noted on our reservation to accommodate us for early check in.
Mita the day shift manager was so, so professional, and approachable. she even offered access to cultural cuisine.

Very comfy bed, quiet, clean, convenient.
