The Avid Hotel is like a hidden gem! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was colorful and comfortable! The hotel is very affordable which I love and very convenient off the highway!

I only wish the hotel had available water to drink without purchasing water and better breakfast options although it wasn’t too bad!
Overall, this will be my stop every time I travel through Virginia

excellent location to RT 81
i like the fact that there aren't any carpets or soft surfaces-the rooms are clean and fresh
When we checked into our room i was dismayed to find on a cleanliness scale it was not up to my or the hotels standard. The bed coverlet was stained and the sink stopper was broken. I called Hunter at the front desk- he immediately apologized and brought us keys to a fresh and well cared for room. also upon check in we had to wait just a few minutes for the guest in front of us to clear up an issue-Hunter acknowledged our presence-apologized for the wait-and gave us each a bottle of water for our patience.he also remebered us from our stay 2 weeks prior! The rest of the staff was also friendly and the breakfast is perfect.

It was fine except for the noise level from above at 8:00AM, loud bangs and noise. Shower had a loose downspout and the USB was already broken on nightstand. For a newer hotel it’s showing some wear and tear too soon.

We stayed the Avid in Staunton VA this past Saturday night as we were in route home from our wonderful Shenandoah Valley weekend vacation. Our first impression of the hotel carried through the whole weekend. The hotel is spotless and comfortable. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Our rooms were small but comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. The rooms are on the small side, but comfortable for a night or two for one or two people. I did miss having a coffee pot in the room, but that was the only thing. I would definitely recommend this location to folks staying in that area. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Hotel was conveniently located. Checking in was fast, staff friendly and informative. We stayed for one night. Clean room & minimal outside noise. Left early in the morning so we missed breakfast, as it didn’t start til 6:30am.

We checked in very late after a long day of traveling. The kids were exhausted, as were we. The hotel appears to be a relatively new build and so we were expecting a great room that unfortunately due to the time we ended up getting there, we wouldnt get to enjoy. I was wrong. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks. The bathroom was disgusting, especially around the toilet. The shower had pubic hairs everywhere and a dirty wash cloth in it. I only noticed the bathroom after my young children had already fallen asleep after a long day of driving and very late arrival. Otherwise I would of been asking for a new room.
I also requested a late checkout, several times, without the front desk getting back to me. In the morning I wanted to say something about the filthy room, however, I stood at the check in counter for over 5 mins, without anyone ever appearing.

After a long day on the road, cranky kids, all I wanted was a clean room to sleep in for a few hours and couldnt get that. Disappointing.

This hotel is easy on and off the freeway. Staff treated us great. The specially designed fresh coffee maker is a great perk-always hot coffee. The fresh oatmeal at breakfast with raisins, walnuts and brown sugar to add was really great.
