Comfortable accommodations & friendly staff

The Candlewood Suites in Turlock was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The entire property was clean, well lit at night, and the room was quite comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and extremely polite. The pet relief area was well stocked with bags and was well lit, though there was a huge trash container that blocked it from the hotel itself, so it was a little "scary" at night. The wifi wasn't great as there was often a weak signal, which sometimes made connectivity difficult for me to work; however, it was fine quite a bit of the time, so it wasn't too much of a hindrance. The "cupboard" was well stocked and the free coffee was tasty.

I really like that it's centrally located near shopping and places to eat. I was out of town for work and forgot some small hygiene items that they ended up having in the commodities room near the lobby

We had Thanksgiving at our Daughter's house this year and needed a place to spend the night and we were so surprised that this was an extended stay Hotel which offered so many amenities. including close to Black Friday shopping, for such an excellent price, amazing value, and the front desk person was very friendly and very helpful in that they even helped us with the settings on our television's remote control.

The only property I stay in when I’m in town.
Close to restaurants, freeways and shopping centers.
Always clean and reception desk personnel are always attentive and courteous does not matter if you get there really late at nighttime

Overall, this hotel room was very nice. We had all that we needed. The bed was one of the best we have slept on in a hotel.

It was nice to have lots of room and a kitchen. But there was a bug when I arrived, the elevator was out of order which meant I had to carry everything to the 3rd floor. Slept well because th bed was comfortable. Pilot light from the stove was annoying.

Overall, this was a great value. It was a convenient, safe place to stay, and the staff was excellent. It’s great for extended stays and short stays where you only need the basics. They offer free laundry washer and dryer service (you provide or buy the detergent and fabric softener), have a business center where you can print for free, have a very clean fitness center with cardio and weights, and have kitchenettes with full sized refrigerators. The cooking utensils are also provided. If you need a blender, crockpot, waffle maker, etc. you can borrow them from the “lending locker.” I was really surprised at how much they offered and that there were no additional charges.

I try to always book Candle wood where ever I am working in the USA.
I was even in one in Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
But this one is by far the worst.
The manager is a Racist, from my day of check in i had issues with her.
Her staff would even make rude comments on my Trump T shirts.
I would complain of the Weed smell and sewer gas smell coming under my door, and up and down the hallways, I even had to put a towel at my door to block the smells at night so I could sleep, and the Homeless living right on the property all drugged out, I have pictures of it , and she just looked at me like, What? Not in my Hotel, then after that, accused me of smoking in my room, I was a target after that.
I stayed in this Hotel for 5 months do to being close to my job-site, and avoided the staff, but I could not take the smells anymore and complained again, this time she put a letter under my door saying they were going to be inspecting all the rooms for Weed smells and other odors, I thought great, about time, because some of the people the cooking the Oder was like cooking rotten meat , It was bad.
The washers didnt work for 2 weeks, only 1 worked and that is for 4 floors, so being able to wash my cloths was hit and miss and only 1 load at a time, so my dirty cloths where in the closet. I do smoke at work and in my truck, so my cloths will smell like smoke.
So she said in here inspection of my room they smelt smoke, OK, Duh!, She again put a letter under my door saying I was being charged $200 fine and I would have to move out, I was Happy to at this point.
I am White, and all here staff and her are not.
I really didnt care they did not like me for being from Texas and a Trump supporter. , They even would go as far as not to give me my mail for 2 to 3 days, I even seen 1 of my packages sitting in their laundry room when the door was open that they swore never arrived from Amazon. I asked the girl right inside the door what name was on it so i did not have to walk in there, I seen my name, but she said, she dont read English, The man behind the front desk finally came and gave it to me.
Do Not say at this dirty Hotel with racist and lazy people and a Homeless camp right in the parking lot.
Not all Candlewoods are Bad, Most are Great, this one is run very badly by a Racist

We were pleased with the layout of the room. The kitchenette was very well stocked and all items were clean and in order. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The bath products supplied were the "Dove" brand which is a very well known product. I would definitely recommend and book with this hotel again.
Good for a one or two night stay

The stay was good for what we needed it for. It would be great for someone to do maintenance on the refrigerator. It was extremely loud and disrupted my sleep. There was also a vent hood light that I could not figure out how to turn off. It also disrupted my sleep. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly. Very close to Pedretti Sports Complex, which is where we were going. Not bad for where we needed to be, but a little pricey for the quality.
