Xunpu Folk Culture Village is a famous fishing village and historical and cultural site in nearby Fengze District. Xunpu’s women are famous for their floral crowns, commonly known as "Zanhua Wei". What’s more, they are one of three “fishing women” of Fujian and are engaged in fishing year-round. The distinctive folk houses of Xunpu are called "Oyster Shell Cuo” — Cuo is the word for house in Minnan dialect. Kaiyuan Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian province with an area of 78,000 square meters (840,000 square feet) and also one of the very few surviving Hindu temples in mainland China. The temple, with its magnificent construction and beautiful scenery, is one of the key Buddhist Temples and national 4A-level tourist attraction and "Top Ten" scenic area in Fujian Province.

Qingyuan Mountain is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, bordering Quanzhou City on three sides. It is one of the 18 official scenic spots in Quanzhou, and also a national scenic spot. Qingyuan Mountain is a granite landform of hilly mountains with centuries of development on that has imprinted various important historical and cultural artifacts. Among the mountains more prominent sections include Laojun rock, Qianshou rock and Mituo rock.
