The cable line was built in 1987 to connect both Yuzhong and Nan’an, and is now used for both sightseeing and daily transportation. There were two lines originally, but the one across the Jialing River was removed after the light rail was built.

Chongqing CHAO TIAN MEN is located in northeast of Yuzhong District, where the Yangtze river and Jialing river meet. The site is surrounded by water on three sides, and the terrain is medium and high. Although it has been transformed, there are long and steep stone stairs connecting the river-side wharf. At the beginning of the Ming dynasty, the city gate was built here. Due to the facing direction is sacred capital Nanking, it got the name of CHAO TIAN MEN, which means facing the empire.

Characterized by Bayu's typical architectural style on wooden stilts, Hong Ya Dong creates a wonderful fusion of the traditional and modern lifestyle through combing the scenic old street, cultural shows, exquisite commodities, and unique designed restaurants, coffee shops & bars. It’s famous nightview can be best admired from across the river, a short walk across the Qiansimen Bridge.

HU GUANG GUILD HALL is located at Changbin Rd, and it was built in 1759, in the style of early Ming Dynasty. The guild hall was used for business back in the days, while today you can still see traditional carvings on the walls , there are many different traditional activities held here.During festivals, there will be many different traditional activities.

Chongqing JIE FANG BEI is the most representative statue of Chongqing and often appears in all kinds of local commodities. The monument is 27.5 meters high, with a winding staircase to reach the top; There are clocks, direction signs and anemometer on the top of the tower. It was originally built on March 12, 1940, the anniversary of the death of Dr. Sun Yatsen. In 1950, Liu Bocheng changed the title into “Chongqing People’s Liberation Monument”.

The museum has brilliant collections of “Ba-yu culture, Three Gorges culture, the-back-of-front-line to Anti-Japanese Fascism culture, the Domestic Immigration culture and ect.

The GREAT HALL OF THE PEOPLE, also known as the Chongqing People’s Auditorium, stands in central of the city. It is regarded as one of the architectural symbols of Chongqing and holds important political meetings and cultural events every year. There is a magic music fountain and beneath the beautiful evening lights.

The unique landscape of the light rail that running through the building has attracted tons of tourists. After going down the light rail station’s endless zig-zag staircase, you can take a walk in the historical Liziba Anti-War Heritage Park, and then have a taste of the famous Liangshan Chicken

CIQIKOU is the one and only ancient town in Chongqing municipality city, is located in Shapingba District and stands just next to the Jialing River. It was originally called Longyinzhen. It attract thousands of visitors daily just as it used to be in the old days. Curdled duck blood in chili sacue, bean curd sheets, and peanuts with pepper and salt,three of the specialties to be found here. And “Chen Mahua” is the most famous brand here.
