If you like animals, Qingdao Polar Ocean World is the place to go. There are numerous penguins and dolphins as well as over ten thousand types of ornamental fish of various species. You can also see white whales, polar bears, and sea lions, and you'll be impressed by the dolphins' performance and the whales' singing. The admission fee is RMB120 per adult. From Polar Ocean World, 15 minutes drive takes you to the seaside Sculpture Garden, which contains numerous attractive sculptures.

Ba Da Guan (Eight Great Passes) is a residential area built in the last century. It's made up of eight streets named after the eight great Chinese military forts of ancient times. Along the streets are many classic European houses built when Qingdao was a German protectorate (1897-1914). This area is well known for its uniquely structured villas, which have more than 200 western architectual features, leading some to name it the 'Architecture Museum'.

To the east of the city lies Mount Lao. The mountain range has a number of notable characteristics, including its beautiful scenery rising from the sea to the south and the east. The main peak is 1,132 metres above sea level - making it the highest coastal mountain in China - and it has an 87.3km coastline. Mount Lao is also one of the main cradles of the Taoism religion.There are three main tourism destinations in Mount Lao. Taiqing area, Jufeng Peak and Jiushui area.

This building is a combination of the typical architecture of German William era and the youth style. This building was hailed as the world precious building specimen. There is an authentic German Restaurant called Rats Keller. Furthermore, the inside decoration is very elegant, luxury and extraordinary, you can feel the full-bodied European palace atmosphere. Guest house is also a museum which collected many rarities from many countries.

St. Michael’s Cathedral is a Catholic church in Qingdao. Built by German missionaries, the cathedral stands at the top of a hill in the center of the old German-built part of the city. It is the largest example of Romanesque Revival architecture in the province, resembling a German cathedral of the 12th century.

The Zhan Qiao Pier, which is as old as the city, is regarded as the symbol of Qingdao. It also appears as the design trademark of the famous Tsingtao Beer. In 1891, it was built for facilitating the transportation of military supplies. After several restorations, from being a simple military harbour, it is now open to tourists. At the southern end of the pier stands the 'Hui Lan Ge Pavilion', a typical Chinese octagonal pavilion, from which you can watch the rolling waves of the sea.

Lying at the foot of Zhan Shan Hill, this temple was built in 1945 and is the most recently constructed temple for worship by followers' of Buddhism's Tian Tai Sect. A temple fair is held on the 8th day of the fourth month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

May 4th Square has two parts. The municipal government office building, implicit fountain, lattice fountain, the sculpture of “May wind” are all located at the axle wire. These scenic spots show a grave, solid, vigorous, magnificent scenery to us. The large area omamental forest makes them more vibrant and full of modern atmosphere.

Tsingtao Beer Museum as a significant part of Qingdao historical beer industry culture is a fusion of ancient and modern design. This museum represents Tsingtao Beer’s development process and advanced production process. Tsingtao Beer Museum is the first domestic museum.

Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is situated at the bank of Fushan Bay, Qingdao.Both the 29th Olympics Sailing Competition and the 13th Paralympics Sailing competition were held here.Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center lies at the foot of the mountain and faces the sea,provided with worldclass beautiful landscape. Located at the southern end of Haier Road in the Laoshan District, the beach is 3kilometers in length and features clear water, fine sand and level ground. The beach is divided into four functional areas that are connected by the seashore walkway. It will be a good place for vacation, marine sports and entertainment.
