Go to the top of Jin Mao Tower or Oriental Pearl Tower to get an amazing view of Shanghai. It is an 88-story landmark skyscraper. Mail a postcard at the world's highest post office. As the highest TV Tower in Asia, Oriental Pearl Tower is multipurpose with sightseeing, a revolving restaurant, shopping, entertainment, hotel, and radio and TV transmissions.

The Binjiang riverside offers a nice view of the Bund, and you can ramble along the east bank of the Huangpu River. After dark, when the Bund's buildings are lit up and beacon lights sweep the river lanes, the view is one of the best in Shanghai. Coffee bars and restaurants are on site.

On the way see how rapidly the Pudong area has developed in the last 15 years. Sit in the 'Starbucks' coffee shop to see a full view of the Huangpu river.

People's Square is a spectacular space in the heart of the city. The Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Exhibition Hall for City Planning and the Shanghai Museum are all here.
