The iconic Venetian Harbour is a landmark of Chania city on the main sea promenade., located a few steps away from The Chania Hotel. It was built in the 14th century and showcases a balanced blend of Cretan, Ottoman and Venetian elements with narrow alleys across the old town and unique architecture. This is a fascinating place to visit all year round offering cafes, restaurants, tavernas serving local delicacies, bars, pastry stores and art shops.

The Maritime Museum of Crete is located at the entrance of the Old Port of Chania, right next to the Firka Fortress. Starting from the Bronze Age, its collection includes models of ships, nautical instruments, painting, historical photographs and war relics classified chronologically. The museum also features a room dedicated to natural marine life.

The Egyptian Lighthouse of Chania is located at the entrance of the Old Port and was originally built in the 16th century by the Venetians and later reconstructed by the Egyptians during the period 1830-40. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and has an oktagonal base, the middle part has 16 angles, while the top part is circular. It has a height of 21m above sea level and its light reaches a distance of 7 nautical miles.

Yalı Tzamii, meaning 'Mosque of the Sea', is the first mosque built by the Ottomans in Crete, and a shining example of Renaissance Islamic art. It is one of the most famous monuments of Chania featuring a distinctive round rooftop, and is situated in the centre of the old harbour.

The Municipal Art Gallery of Chania showcases works of painting, engraving and sculpture of Greek and local artists, that date back from the 18th century until today. It organises and hosts exhibitions, speeches, meetings, educational programmes and cultural events, all year round.
