We had a huge room with limited sea view (from side street). The foyer and public areas look a little tired but the staff were welcoming. We were staying as our daughter had a Uni interview the next morning so we decided to make a day of it. A fab location on the promenade and within easy walking distance of the pier.

stay Fri 13th Feb one night had a great night sleep breakfast spot on. staff on reception very helpful and pleasant 10 out of 10
car park was over priced parked next road down in council run car park very secure with cctv well lit for half the price

We were not able to have a sea view room so opted for the standard double which was fine. Lovely new bathroom, excellent shower etc.
Downside, the windows were filthy from the sea air, even though there was easy access to clean them from outside.
Hotel refurb work was being carried out which meant front entrance blocked with work vans etc. Workmen walking through lobby with tools and equipment most of the day.
Hotel entrance area in pretty poor condition, with canopy roof panels hanging down, lights hanging down etc.
Underground secure car park for £18 per day was a fare price considering local on road charges.

I was supprised at the size of the room given the little money it cost. I have stayed many times at different hotels in Brighton and not had such value for money.

Front Desk was very quick efficient great check in. Room was nicely renovated. The woman behind the bar was very rude and just a nasty mood about her she should not be in the service industry she was unfriendly and just grunting the whole time. Other than that hotel really is good only bad part about the stay.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn a few years ago and I must say they have improved considerably since then.The room I stayed in was extremely spacious, clean and had excellent sea views.I was pleasantly surprised that wifi was free and available, however, the quality was not great and needs some work.I only had breakfast but it was very good.A great choice, the food was hot and the service great.
When I next visit Brighton, this is where I want to stay (as long as the price is right of course).

This hotel is a good location, close to restaurants and the town centre. Clean, friendly and would recommend it.

Our room was meant to be an upgrade yet it was no bigger than a double size room when we was meant to have a king size room, i complained and the staff were quite helpful with refunding us the upgrade price. Yet, when we went back to the room we discovered the bath was all chipped our towels were all wet and we had loads of holes in our bed quilt!! As well our windows didn't open and were 'bared'
The staff then moved us to another room yet nothing else was offered and considering this was our second complaint within being there not even half hour I believe it wasn't enough to be offered
However, when we stayed last August (2014) we had a lovely experience and had the best stay. Unfortunately, this has made me and my partner reluctant to return.
