I found the hotel standards to have improved from a previous stay a few years ago. The staff give great service and are most helpful. "Executive" room dated and very small with tiny bathroom with shower but no bath and no hot water in the evening when I wanted to shower before retiring to bed. Despite being pretty much in the middle of nowhere, no food was available after 7.15pm so had to get a takeaway in my room. Internet speed was the worst I have come across in the last 10 years, and I spend approx 4-6 weeks a year staying in hotels for business/leisure. Bed was uncomfortable and external noise levels were unacceptable. Minibar thermostat didn't work so couldn't keep food and drink cool. It contained two small bottles of water and a Kit-Kat. Staff were understandably glum and breakfast was pretty poor considering this was a Holiday Inn. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, great staff and great Hotel!! Had a great one night stay at the Holiday Inn Derby - Nottingham M1, Junc 25 after an awful 8 hour drive on a Friday. Arrived fairly stressed but left completely relaxed after a good nights sleep where I was welcomed as an IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite Member which made me feel special from the start. Really good value for money and I will definitely stay there again when I am next in the area. Well done Holiday Inn!! April 26, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Regular traveller - always let down at this hotel As a regular visitor to this area, this Holiday Inn is ideally located for me. The only positive I can find. After another disappointing stay, with a TV that was pixelated and kept freezing, 'air conditioning' that just blows cold air around the room and a jelly sweet on the floor (I assume wasn't left for me as a gift for being a Spire reward club member).... I now find that not only has the management NOT called me as promised on check-out, but my stay is showing as a 'non-qualifying' club night - SO NO POINTS in my account. The 1,000 points promised due to the issues experienced haven't appeared either. Sort this out. S Moore April 19-21 2016 April 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay. Stayed here on Business for 2 nights. Room was very clean and nicely furnished.Room service was prompt and food very nice. Staff were friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. No traffic noise and a pleasant setting. Used bar and restaurant on the second night and again very relaxed. Also there,s a large lounge area where you can sit and chill out. April 23, 2016
