Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel convenient for the Boat Museum The location was very peaceful overlooking the dock basins with ducks and swans swimming about. There was an African themed restaurant within walking distance but other than that you would have to drive if you did not want to eat in the hotel. We found there was some noise from adjacent rooms due to poor soundproofing which disturbed our sleep but this is typical for modern hotel bedrooms. Overall the hotel was well kept, clean and comfortable with excellent staff. We enjoyed our stay. 27 January 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location, a shame that they couldn't find any water The location of the hotel is great. Breakfast service was good. The room was acceptable. Unfortunately I was asking for the impossible. I wanted a bottle or two of water to take to the room as Holiday Inn do not have a mini bar in the room. I was told that they could not help me with my request for still bottled water as they did not have any in the hotel. Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference. 26 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Location I was fortunate to stay at this hotel on a reward night. Sometimes on such nights you get the poorer room but I was most impressed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I only ate breakfast at the hotel but this was well presented and the staff were attentive. The hotel is set in a lovely location over looking the canal and near to the Waterways museum. 26 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great location Well positioned hotel for Cheshire Oaks, Liverpool etc, second stay in two months, very nice hotel, evening meal was delicious, room very good as were staff, only complaint was buffet breakfast, obviously chef chooses to cook everything at 6.30am as its easier for him but food is congealed and inedible by 9.40am there must be a lot of food wasted and thrown out, why do hotel managers allow this. 14 January 2015

Quality of food only average - steak and chips for instance: steak well-cooked, chips looked cooked but if fact weren't completely.
