Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas stay This was my 4th Christmas spent at this hotel. I was greeted by a friendly polite young lady who rembered me from a more recent visit. She was patient and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great as well as the staff on duty. Pool facilities wonderful and chambermaids are efficient and friendly. I had a small problem with my door which was dealt with efficiently and to my satisfaction. Other members of my party had an issue which was dealt with efficiently by the operations manager who followed up with a phone call. Also found it great that as an ihg member myself and others in my party were able to have access to the internet Very happy Great staff here. 05 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great New Years Eve party and Stay Stayed for all inclusive New Years Eve Party with my wife and son having stayed previous year with another chain hotel which proved disappointing. This time this Holiday inn was superb and would definitely do it again and got friends interested in joining us next year. Food was first class in a buffet format, drinks package also good and music suitable for all ages, loved it. Room great, got an upgrade, all staff worked so hard and deserve medals. Felt safe with good security too. Special mention for Katie on reception, organised our stay in such a nice way, many thanks. We stay here regularly as a drop off for London, but first time for New Year and cant wait to stay again. 05 January 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as usual After staying at this hotel many times a year over the last few years, this time I was very disappointed. I arrived with my sister who walks with the aid of a crutch, after a long day to be greeted by the reception staff who took one look at us and decided that we needed a disabled room, we were too tired to argue. The bathroom of the room was totally unsuitable for our requirements, the sink was so low that we were unable to use it standing up and as there was no stool supplied could not sit to use it, using the toilet also was a problem as it was so high that our feet would not touch the floor, the bath also had no rubber mat to stand on and was so low that if we had got into it we probably would have had difficulty getting out, plus there was only enough toiletries for one person. I feel that unnecessary assumptions had been made about us on arrival by the staff. On all previous visits if the hotel was under occupied we have been offered a complimentary upgrade, on this occasion I feel we were pressured into a downgrade. If this was my first visit I would not return, but it is not and I know this hotel can do far far better. 31 December 2014
