Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Cheap and cheerful This hotel was good value for money and met all of our needs for an overnight stay. We ordered room service food (beware of the delivery charge) which was quick and very good, had ice and an ironing board delivered to the room (very efficient) and the twin beds, althought tightly squeezed together, were very comfortable. We struggled to turn the heating off/turn the air conditioning on as we both like to sleep in a cold room, but this was not a big issue. 29 January 2015

Good food from bar menu, nice breakfast with plenty of variety. Cleaning staff were a little noisy (I sleep in the day due to working nights). Room was nice and dark with shutters/blinds closed. 27 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Stayed one night and it was perfect for what I needed. Good price, good sleep and breakfast, friendly staff. Breakfast items good quality but not very hot. Single bed mattress not the best but adequate. Enjoyed the stay. Great value. Would (and most likely will) stay again. 27 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Room, poor bathroom the room itself was very comfy but the bathroom was a huge let down. The sink was blocked and took a while for the water to drain away with a strange smell from the drain. The shower was extremely difficult to turn off the took a lot of force on the switch to actually stop the water flowing. 20 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and convenient I stayed at HI Derby-Nottingham whilst working nearby in December and January '14-'15. I found the hotel excellently located and very convenient for the motorways, for Derby and for Nottingham. The staff took great care of me over the new year and were very accommodating even though I was on strange shifts. 19 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business travel stay My first Business trip to deliver customer training in the area required an overnight stay. The Account Manager who looks after the company stays here when visiting the customer so I booked in at same hotel. I received a free upgrade to Executive room and was very pleased with the standard. Romm was warm and comfortable (great night's sleep in the large bed!) and a huge flat screen TV to while the evening away before "hitting the sack". Hot buffet breakfast plentiful and tasty. Would definitely recommend and stay again if repeat travel required 19 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rover Excellent stay as usual but new restaurant staff not quite as good as the ones who have been at the hotel longer. Expect this will improve with help from the older ones! Missed buffet breakfast but staff very pleasant and helpful serving cooked breakfast but there was a slight delay one morning and the toaster was on a "go slow!!" Will be back at Easter if not before. 10 January 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Hotel but very good value I continue to use this hotel when I'm in the Nottingham/Derby area as a convenient base. The hotel itself is very average in every area. The room cleanliness is a little short of perfect but adequate. However, if I was merely to score this hotel on the important aspects of Value for Money and Location then I would score this hotel 5 stars without any hesitation. That said, it will remain my number one choice for the area and I am grateful to the staff who are always pleased to recognise IHG membership status. 04 January 2015
