Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worse stay at a Holiday Inn I've stayed in a few Holiday Inn's for Business a pleasure but when I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough West I couldn't get any work done or get much sleep as it sounded like a party was next door to me, I was on the 3rd floor and was told there was a wedding the night before when I spoke to a member of staff the next morning. Food was average with an over cooked steak which I told the waitress and the answer I received was "Oh I'm sorry" I really don't have much of an issue when I normally stay but this time was really bad and would consider other hotels in the area before this one. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Costs !!!!!!! I do not like the booking system . You charge a high rate to phone the hotel . this is not neccessary as you speak to the front desk !!!! The cost of this is very expensive and you should look into improving it . Each room should have a jug of fresh milk not that awful stuff in a carton . I think the cost of the room would allow for fresh milk . !! November 3, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed; mouldy curtains; Unwelcoming. Poor value. We arrived before check in and explained that we had been travelling since 4am. When we returned to our rooms we hoped to get an hours sleep but each one of the 4 of us got a call! I asked for wifi which was the big sell on the IHG website but couldn't access it as it was out of order for "residents" access. This wasn't explained until I asked about it and had lost valuable time to complete some work which required remote access. We asked about eating options but got little information from reception and ended up leaving the hotel to walk to the nearest pub. On our return, I went to my room for some badly needed sleep. The room was basic enough. The bed was hard and the windows old and not capable of keeping the traffic noise out. I went to see if I could close the windows further and was disgusted to find mould on the curtains which clearly haven't been cleaned or looked at by anyone who cares for quite a while. Overall, the stay was a huge disappointment and was only recovered by the pleasant nature of a slightly older lady who served breakfast and was the only real professional we encountered at the hotel. Really poor value for money and clearly no obvious management presence. October 31, 2015
