I have spent 3 nights a week there for the last 5 months on average, the staff are friendly. Less then 1 miles fron the central of Wolverhampton and loads of parking!. 28 November 2013

I booked a parade view ring room as i thought it would be a nice treat! The hotel locations is great for the races and the hotel itself is nice and clean. However, we could not see the parade ring as the windows were filthy!! How can you advertise a parade ring view room when you are unable to see through the window?! 19 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great room great stay!!!!! myself and hubby enjoyed a fantastic anniversary treat staying here. booked a stay and racecourse entrance package which was a real treat! hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly! the rooms are spacious and very comfortable! a beautiful meal was had in the parade restaurant and the breakfast the next morning was as equally scrummy! thank you for a very pleasant rare night away from the kids! 06 November 2013

It was great to be able to move around in-between meal courses and have access to all areas. The package was excellent value for money. 01 November 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrendous! I always stay in a Holiday Inn when away on business - this hotel is by far the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. It's like walking into a hotel back in the 1980's, a lot of money needs to be spent to bring it up to date. The bedrooms are shocking, the restaurant is basic and not at all comfortable, the restaurant is very limited and again uncomfortable. I found some of the staff rude, especially one person at breakfast time! If you asked her for anything it was far too much trouble and she would scurry off in a huff. I definitely won't be staying here again. 28 October 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Hotel Stay Not up to the usual standard for Holiday Inn. TV was faulty & didn't load programes properly then sound wasn't right... Checked me in as the wrong person then overcharged me initially even after correcting my account Breakfast room wasn't attended then had to ask where the milk was!!! Poor full english too with not so warm bacon & sausage bespite it being fresh? Cold beans too. Mentioned this at checkout & apparently someone was going to look into it but I haven't heard anything back so far & would guess I'm not goint to. Wasn't recognised as IHG club member & seemed like hard work to get that changed VERY POOR 19 October 2013

Absolutely faultless apart from bit noisy in our bedroom late evening (think we were above a kitchen but that died off and sleep was fine . Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Another wonderful stay. This is the third time we have stayed here for the racing and it seems to get better every time. The staff cannot do enough for you and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive to when you leave. The rooms are a good size and clean. The breakfasts are good. The hotel and surrounds are very clean, but most of all the staff are excellent. We stayed for two nights for the racing and it was a shame the price for the Saturday was so high we moved to another local hotel. 30 September 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by workmen Arrived at hotel and all was good had travelled from Suffolk so not too far but looking forward to relaxing in the room... not so, there were big diggers working on the racecourse till approx 8.45pm. Then, 7.45am boom diggers were cranked up lovely just what you need. Was told by reception staff they were not obliged to notify guests of this via their website prior to booking.......REALLY 27 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service We stayed at the Garden Court Wolverhampton as part of a large family group from the north of England to attend our nephew's 21st birthday celebration. Booking in at reception was straight forward and the receptionists were very pleasant. We had a meal in the Parade Restaurant on Friday evening, and breakfasts there both mornings. Have to give a special mention to Jackie in the restaurant who was excellent and very patient with us all. nothing was too much trouble to her. She was a star!! The celebration on Saturday for our nephew's 21st was in the Sunbeam Lounge. The meal was excellent as was the service. The room was a good size and bathroom was modern and clean. The only fault with the room was the heat, but that was not the fault of the hotel, and room fans were provided, as were buckets of ice. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Wolverhampton. 26 July 2013

Staff in reception and bar were exceptional, so friendly, helpful and smiling, thank you! I haven't scored higher only because there was no safe in the room, which I would expect in a holiday inn and the pillows could have been better in line with other holiday inns. I also felt the price was a bit too high. Overall a very good experience and an excellent choice if you need a hotel in Wolverhampton. 14 July 2013

Jackie who served us in the restaurant was an absolute star, great service and a fantastic sense of humour. The staff who served us at breakfast on the Sunday morning need some customer service training. I think they forgot who the customers were, a smile costs nothing !!!!!!! Booked for 2 nights when on business, and was impressed how quiet the area was, convenient for most of Wolverhampton. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Ate in the restaurant and again was impressed with the food quality at very reasonable prices. Would recommend for anyone visiting the racecourse or visiting Wolverhampton but not wanting to stay in the centre. 25 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dunstall Holiday Inn I use the Holiday Inn, at Dunstall race course,Wolverhampton because of its proximity to work, and have done for many years. It is because of the amount of visits I've made there, that makes it feel 'homely'. I know the majority of the core staff well, and it is particularly pleasing to receive a warm welcome when I'm away from home. The rooms themselves are comfortable enough, but it seems that the entertainment system is problematic, and has been for months (dare I say years). In addition, the lift has a mind of its own, and if anybody wants to know the secret of its operation, let me know, as I've been studying it for years. Finally the food. I would describe it as extremely changeable. From the sublime ( a wonderful pan fried livers and lightly poached egg starter) to the bland (anything with the powdery reconstituted chips). Overall, I would say the quality of the food is good, but sometimes spoiled by the odd bad experience. Would I recommend the hotel to anyone else? Most definitely yes. It is the quirky features and lovely staff that makes my stays there enjoyable. If you want a clinical faceless stay, then this is probably not the hotel for you, for anybody else, give it a go, and enjoy. 21 March 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Billed twice for one night stay. Booked a one night stay , competing in Tough Guy race the following morning. Asked at reception if we could shower and change in room after race and was informed we maybe charged for a late checkout if after 3pm. Although we were just after this time when we did return , we were unable to get into our room due to key problems and could not use the shower as there was no hot water. On leaving after about 10 minutes I informed the reception desk that we could not use the shower due to the lack of any hot water, this defeated the whole object of returning back to the hotel. Just over a week later I was then billed for another nights stay, and when contacting the hotel I was then informed I would be charged for a late checkout even though the only point of travelling back to the hotel was to use the facilities which I would have been happy to pay for if they had been available. Overall a disappointing experience and would not recommend to future Tough Guy participants. 05 February 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room with additionals become expensive! At the booking the room looks affordable, but many of the additional cost makes the stay expensive. Internet access is expensive and you have to pay for each device, so being two in a room each with a couple of devices becomes very expensive. 27 GBP for the breakfast for two is expensive, especially when the quality is in the low end. Being a Platinum member of the Priority Club do not help at this hotel. I will never return. 13 December 2012
