Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Stayed at Holiday Inn in Arras and found the hotel to be superb, but then stayed at Amiens, the hotel was dearer then Arras but found hotel rooms and corridor outdated and dirty. Stayed with friends in both hotels and they said the Amiens Holiday Inn was the worst hotel they had stayed in. Very disappointed 21 June 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good budget hotel in great location We chose this hotel as we were leaving Amiens for Zurich and wanted to be close to the station. We often stay in Holiday Inn and the Express chain as we know we will get a reasonable breakfast and a good comfortable room in a good location. The staff were friendly and helpful at Amiens and there was a good choice for breakfast. 25 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel made better by professional customer focussed reception Basic Holiday Inn Express hotel in a very good location for exploring the town & the restaurants down by the River Somme. Parking is available underground and also in the nearby side streets at a very cheap rate...I paid 2 Euros for street parking for 2 days. Breakfast selection was average for a H.Inn Express but less than average compared say to the Express at Arras where the selection includes hot food and a much greater range.....however the Hotel receptionist was very professional as she was a very good advert for the brand by offering great customer service as if it was her company....always keen to talk through how to get to the best eating areas and some recommendations which turned out to be fully justified...I believe I cant mention her full name personally but only as the person on duty on 03rd & 04th May...so well done Amelie you are an excellent advert for the brand and know your customer expectations. Recommended for a short 1 to 2 day stopover to explore the town and surrounding areas.....before I forget a good WiFi signal as well.. 08 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfactory but soulless This H.I. Express was up to IHG's usual standard although it was nothing out of the ordinary. The receptionist was very helpful and socialable both on the phone and in person. The city centre location, right by the railway/bus station, is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is proximity and convenience. the disadvantage is that if you arrive by car you have no idea where to park. The web site directions for guests arriving by car are scant and concise directions would have made our arrival less stressful and tedious after a hard day. Top travel tip: drive towards the hotel with the hotel on your right then turn immediately at the front of the hotel to the right into the slip road access to the underground car park signed as 'Amiens 2'. It is not the hotel's car park but it is directly under the hotel, reasonably priced at 7Euro for 24 hours, and convenient (once you find it!). Breakfast was fine, in fact very good as far as 'continental' breakfasts go. 23 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel The outside appearance is, truthfully, not impressive. The entrance is almost hidden, although the sign is quite visible. The parking is very handy, but again, don't miss the entrance to it. But beyond the outside look, the hotel is great. The Reception staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms nice. There is no view to speak of from the side rooms, but who spends time gazing from their hotel window when all the City sights are within a nice walking distance? The hotel is located next to the train station which is very convenient. You can check out, leave your bags, then walk around a bit before catching your train. The breakfast was very good. It was kept stocked and there are two coffee/tea machines. The breakfast area is nice and well-lit, and the staff kept it clean, as people left. (I really appreciate this because I hate coming to breakfast when the only available tables have dirty dishes.) I will stay here again when I am in Amiens next. 03 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful and pleasant staff Overall this is a comfy, clean hotel with friendly staff that would do anything possible to help. Had a good sleep for both nights. Our motorcycle was safe in the underground car park. Really couldn't praise the staff enough. Only down fall with EVERY hotel, not enough tea and sugar/milk left in the room for my tea waller partner but staff were happy to offer more when we asked. 11 July 2013
