Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for Xmas shopping There is no better way to shop for Xmas than to stay at Gunwharf and enjoy the extended opening hours of the shops upto 9-00pm. The hotel is perfectly placed, family members can do their own shopping individually, meet for lunch and dinner and avoid arguments. The room is compact but clean, ours had no shampoo but that may just be an accidental oversight. If we had one negative point, it is that the air controlled heating is both dry and a bit noisy and whilst radiators would be preferable, a bowl of water beside the bed helps. Breakfast is better than expected and the staff helpful and prepared to wait uintil you have finished rather than remove everything at 9-30 on the dot. We will come back for sure. 09 December 2014

Check in was swift and the rooms clean, comfortable and remarkably quiet. We had a great view of the canal and shops - look forward to returning before too long. 26 November 2014
