Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by location and parking We had a wedding to attend at the Spinnaker Tower and the location of this hotel was perfect only a minutes walk , the service was excellent and the parking was free for 24hrs the variety of breakfast was excellent and just what you need after a good night out which was included in the price . 16 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed bag We booked 2 (childfree) nights away, one of the main objectives being to have a good rest and quality sleep (our 2 year old shares our bed every night and it is rare to get a full, comfortable, unbroken sleep). So, disappointed we were when our room firstly greeted us with an intense vibration and low rumble (we were only on the first floor and we cleverly picked a time when maintenance was being carried out. Then we discovered the mattress, sitting aloft a wooden board, was hard and very uncomfortable due to the pokey springs despite a topper). We both agreed we slept worse than at home. We me tioned this to staff who said they were being replaced. Unfortunately for us, not soon enough. However, the Gunwharf saved the day with its proximity and wonderful choice of restaurants and shops and we even got to a movie, the first time in over 4 years. We didn't come home fully refreshed but enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. 14 November 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless Wifi & broken Air Con when I arrived in the hotel the Air Con was not working nor was the Wifi. I raised both with reception and the air con was fixed over night - OK so far. For the wifi I was told "the supplier is aware and is fixing it"... after 5 nights stay it was still fixed. When I complained in writing to the manager after leaving I was informed that yes they were aware of the problem, which is the same problem I experienced in April during an extended stay, and were working to fix it. He also suggested I should have contacted the Wifi supplier!! I'm staying and paying the hotel not with one of their suppliers. 11 November 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, but could use a good cleaning. Location in Gunwharf Quays is convenient to restaurants. However, the hotel could use a good cleaning. Perhaps my standards are too high, but I am not accustomed to mold in the shower and stairs that are never swept. If Internet use is desired, plan to stay in the bar, because the router is located on the ground floor and does not reach to the top floor. 10 November 2014
