Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My business stay in San Diego I've never been to this Holiday Inn and had business in the area so I decided to give this one a try. The rate was very attractive and I have extensive experience with Holiday Inn's on many levels. This Holiday Inn was a bit dated and needs to be renovated. The furniture was in need of updating and on the last night you could clearly hear the people walking in the room above. The bathroom was clean and towels were nice. The breakfast bar was well stocked, clean and the coffee was available every morning before the 6:30 am open time. Early coffee is super for me. I did like that there were several dining options close by, California Pizza Kitchen, a Denny's for late night dining and a couple of bar/grills. If I need a room in the area again, I would book this Holiday Inn for business. 24 November 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A comfy bed and not a thing more I was disappointed, definitely not the Holiday Inn Express experience I am accustomed to. The hotel was obviously not built as a Holiday Inn Express, and the only thing that resembled one other than the logos was the bedding. The rooms, carpet, bathroom were all dingy and dated. From the sandpaper bath towels to the 1970s era little chain to secure the door, I would not recommend nor return to this hotel. 24 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Expected better Though the property was well managed and attended to, the room lacked the normal hotel expectations for the Holiday Inn Express chain. It was disappointing in some ways, and fine in others. The room carpet had some sort of candy ground into it. The maintenance guy was rather embarrassed and encouraged us to change rooms, which we did. The new room had a broken TV controller, a broken (into pieces), and an A/C unit. And, just as important was that HIE is well known for their biscuits AND gravy. There was NO GRAVY to be found anywhere. What a shame! 15 November 2014
